I haven't built a computer outside of college class and was wondering what parts to get for it.
Thanks in advance facepunch

Looks pretty good though I will admit I am a bit of an nvidia fanboy and would probably use a 770 over a 280
[editline]9th January 2014[/editline]
Anybody else have a build suggestion? I like to have choices
If you want to pay $30 extra for performance that's virtually identical http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn770oc2gd.
I would have gone with a 770, but that's me.
The two cards are pretty close in terms of performance, and it some games it out performs the 280x.
Either way that's still a really good build from what I see there.
Also, do you have a monitor already?

Yeah, I will probably buy a higher res one later though
After the sudden price spike with that particular R9 280X, I am recommending the 770 now. The performance is so closed (especially when overclocked) that my advice really is to go with the cheapest one, possibly paying a bit more for a better cooler. I recommend the 770 in my previous post or the twin frozr version.
