Hey, my mother got a laptop from my grandmother rather recently, and it's absolutely beat to hell. It has a few cracks and it has a maximum of about 30 minutes of battery life. It crashes quite often, mostly when you accidentally move the charger card that we now refer to as the "umbilical cord". Also whenever you close the laptop and leave it on it crashes when you open it up. It rarely shuts down all the way, normally when it gets to the Windows "Goodbye" screen it crashes and then you have to force kill it. When running games, the screen will flicker and it will go to a black screen and crash. We've tried Oldblivion and recently Monkey Island: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal. Same result, runs it fine but eventually it just quits. Any advice? I was going to try go inside but I'm unfamiliar with the insides of a laptop. May get some pictures later, if that may help. Thanks!
Thats a fucked up laptop... For the crashing problems I would try reinstalling windows first
Has more battery life than my laptop.
Reformat.
