FINALLY
I mean Juhani is totally the best character. What with how she was so, you know. Like, so that. She had that. That thing that makes you the best character.
And there are so many other great Cathar characters. Like that one guy. I think his name was At-something. Or maybe I'm thinking of Atton.
The point is we needed Cathars and I'm glad Bioware put in the effort.
I don't know much about Star Wars EU lore but were the Cathar introduced in the first KOTOR or have they been in lore before that
who the fuck still cares about your shitty MMO bioware

Pretty sure they were around before that; but they've been pretty present in EU lore either way. They're apparently using the Cathar as a 'test bed' to see how popular new playable species are so I'm hoping this'll be popular so they will later release Kaleesh, Rodians or Nautolans, for instance.

Then don't reply
I won't complain too much about a new race being added to the game, but of all the cool Star Wars aliens, they pick Cathar? Kinda lame.
Whatever, we knew this was happening a long time ago, this just confirms it.

Thank you for contributing so very much to the thread, now please get the fuck out.
Kaleesh
If this happens there better be an General Grievous Style armor or outfit

Thing is, Kaleesh are in the game, but they all look the same, because they were lazy and gave them all the same skull mask.

Same was the case for the cathar, though. Only in the trailer and on Makeb did you start to see new cathar faces. BioWare are doing new models and textures for them. Also the Kaleesh companion for the Inquisitor has varying heads available (minor differences, but still)

Not really, there were a lot of Cathar with varied hairstyles, face markings, and facial structure, more so on the republic side though. When Makeb came out, they added the "empire" version with the dark fur.
Where are my Nautolans, Bioware?
If they add Trandoshan bounty hunters I'll come back.

As much as I would love to see Trandoshans as a playable species, bioware is just too lazy when it comes to non-standard humanoid races.
Oh my god this is literally a texture applied to a generic human body. Are they even trying?

To be fair, that's just how a lot of Star Wars "Aliens" are, including the Cathar. v:v:v
I mean, just look at Juhani. Even back in KOTOR they were still pretty human looking.

Also, that one in the preview pic looks weird. I haven't seen one like that in the game.
They usually look a bit more interesting

What was the budget of the game again?

You seem a little defensive there, buddy.

Furries, rejoice!
Man, hilarious how an older Star Wars MMO with a much MUCH smaller budget than this had a much more diverse and unique selection of races for characters to choose.
Why no love for the Rodians? They're much cooler than this particular variety of cat people.

I do, I come back to it now and then and honestly find it enjoyable, moving on now. Cathar, fun!
