At the beginning of last month I started [SUB](and failed)[/SUB] February Album Writing Month. Here are the three tracks that came out of it. 1. Flashlights Started on my Casiotone MT-68. Vocals came next. Very quick percussion, gave it a bit of a shuffle. 2. Flash Flood Took the ending percussion of track 1, took the bassline of track 1 (mangled and distorted) and created something out of that. More emphasis on percussion sequencing in this one - I think it builds pretty nicely at the end. No vocals. 3. Archangel Tribute Guitar based, only two chords. Singing. Some keyboard tracks come in. All synth sounds are from my Casiotone MT-68, all vocals are me singing, all tracks recorded, sequenced, and effected on my laptop in my dorm room. Do the vocals sound terrible? What genre would you call these? I've received almost exclusively positive feedback and that's annoying - I need less ego-boosting on them and more constructive criticism.
