• Going to NYC tomorrow. What to expect?

Hi. I'm hittin' the road on over to NYC tomorrow, and I was wondering what to expect for the most part. I know all that shit about "muggers everywhere u gun die" isn't legitimate. Also, should I go check out the #OccupyWallStreet protest when I go there? Just, I guess, any useful information would be nice. Thanks! :buddy:
Occupy Wall Street just looks like a shitload of bums. Everywhere else is fine, expect Times Square to be crowded as fuck. Chelsea New York is the arts district if you like art and stuff, everywhere else is just stores and things to see.

From NYC here. It's actually quite nice. Don't believe all the idiot stereotypes that it's nothing or crime or whatever. In fact, most people I've met are really cool. It's all about the neighborhood. Things you should do: - Go to Mars 2112 - Go to Chinatown and get dumplings (holy fuck they are amazing) - Check out the village - Ignore the hipsters - Go to M&M world - Walk around Time Square - Go to Toys 'R' US (it's fucking hgue as shit inside, no joke, there's a goddamn ferris wheel inside) - Go to Nintendo World. That place is my fucking safe haven - Might wanna stay away from Queens [editline]11th October 2011[/editline] Haven't seen what Occupy Wall Street looks like either, and I actually live here :v:

New Yorker here, I'm from Queens
- Might wanna stay away from Queens
nigga what Queens is rad, by far the best borough. It's super diverse, and there's tons to do. If you're worried about safety or something, definitely stay around Manhattan, cops everywhere up in that bitch. That's were most of the tourists go and it's great fun too, especially if you want to do a bunch of tourist-y shit. No hating, I think that stuff's fun too. Do essentially everything KingKombat said though, and be on the lookout for good pizza. Avoid Staten island, it blows. Every other borough is cool though. Have fun and don't get mugged!
