I did calf raises while holding my weights up like this.
Was a shit ton harder than holding the weights down at my sides.
(mainly due to keeping balance and posture)

Umm I don't know standing dumbbell isometric shoulder press calf raise, but why do you need a specific name?

I believe that's a pullup using two separate pullup bars.

Seems a bit wierd as the weight you would need for effective calf raises would be far higher than the weight of the dumbells you would be able to hold like that.
The amount you can hold up like that will be in the 10's of kg. The amount you can press with your calfs will be 100+kg.
are these effective or stupid?
