You should probably add the list to the OP. 1. kirk douglas 2. trent reznor 3. kurt douglas 4. 6 degrees of kevin bacon 5. britney spears announcement 6. lora hirschberg 7. david seidler 8. the lost thing 9. cinematography 10. atticus ross 11. who is banksy 12. aaron sorkin 13. robin roberts 14. oceanos sinking 15. wally pfister 16. best supporting actress 2011 17. christian bale rant 18. oscar winners 2011 19. melissa leo 20. mila kunis oscar dress Also, this seems pretty made up because something Justin Beiber related should be included.

6 degrees of kevin bacon
Pretty sure the number one thing on that list should be "Porn"
I haven't heard of 75% of this stuff.
This actually has some slight basis in reality. The list seems to be the current Hot Trends, at least for the US. However, that does not mean they are the top searched terms. Easily proven - search chart comparing "kirk douglas" to "nintendo", "facebook", "egypt", and "sex" - a chart in which Kirk Douglas is buried under pretty much all of those. Heck, you have to remove both "facebook" and "sex" from that list for him to even be visible. QED.
Oh my god, it's a list of really stupid stuff
This list is for today February 27 2011, not 2011 thus far.
This should be added to the Op: Google's trends list. http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends?sa=X&date=2011-2-27 Also, this list is just for today, this isn't all of 2011's top google searches. You can check the top trends for every day using the link I've just posted. Edit: Read Above post.
