The TV movie will feature a storyline that picks up where the original series ended and resolves unanswered plotlines–including the whereabouts of Arnold’s parents, long missing from the program. Executives at the network declined to offer a specific date for when the new content might be ready or air. With the revival of “Arnold,” Nickelodeon is formalizing a quest to build part of its future by tilling its past. The network has named Chris Viscardi, co-creator of the classic Nickelodeon series, “The Adventures of Pete & Pete, as its senior vice president of content development for franchise properties – a new role. While Viscardi will oversee creative strategies for key content like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Dora The Explorer,” he will also mine the network’s vast library of original series to develop new shows for modern audiences. Yes, that does mean that Nickelodeon could potentially revive old series like “Ren & Stimpy,” “Rocko’s Modern Life” or “The Wild Thornberrys,” though the network’s executives declined to discuss specific projects other than “Hey Arnold!”
http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/hey-arnold-tv-movie-nickelodeon-reviving-shows-1201646666/
Will it be a actual revive or a Frankenstein's monster? Because the teen titan remake makes me very nervous for this.
Will it be a actual revive or a Frankenstein's monster? Because the teen titan remake makes me very nervous for this.
Revive because it says in the article they're going to finally answer the question about Arnold's parents
I've always dreamed of having a room like Arnold's.
explains why they nuked nick reboot for good
Revive because it says in the article they're going to finally answer the question about Arnold's parents
They already did? [sp]I thought they went missing in the Amazon or something like that.[/sp] I wish they would have done that show centered on Helga in her teenage years, I just want to know why it was considered "too dark" in a sense for Nick's target audience at the time.

i hope they get jim lang to do the music again. last year he wrote a couple of hey arnold style songs on youtube and showed he still has it
Will it be a actual revive or a Frankenstein's monster? There's a mix of the theme on his site that I've never heard before, sounds way different than the original http://www.knobworld.com/
I don't trust them with this.
Teen Titans Go is a good show.
I'm concerned on how Nick will handle this. Will they go for the original aesthetic of the show or will they just ruin it and go with a flash-animated artstyle that's nothing like the original, and have completely new voice actors that don't fit the characters at all? (Excluding replacing the VA for Oskar after the original VA passing last year)
It's still terrible though.
I disagree.
Good. Kind of weird the other movie focused on gentrification.
Wasn't even controlled by Craig Bartlett, yet the one that came out was actually the very reason that Craig wasn't allowed to make the finale. A sick twist of fate. They better get this right, the fans have waited 11 long years for this cliffhanger to finally end. Craig Bartlett, the original writer of the Hey Arnold series apparently is tabbed as executive producer and writer for this. Yes!
do you know much a room like that would cost,.?!
Probably two parents.
I might have to revisit Hey Arnold. I never really liked it that much as a kid because it was too "realistic" for me. I was always into the wacky stuff like Cat Dog and Angry Beavers. Hey Arnold was way too deep for my five year old brain to absorb.
I wish I could get all the TV episodes on Google Play.
if that show didnt make you want to have a skylight you were some kind of mutant freak
Sunlight. Ew.
if that show didnt make you want to have a skylight you were some kind of mutant freak
I didn't want a skylight because I was afraid of aliens or someone would watch me sleep.
They should bring back Angry Beavers or at the least actually show the last episode. It and Rocko were my favorites when I was a kid,lol at one point I had a dagget stuffed animal with him wearing pj's. Also it would be awesome to bring back Zim but that shit ain't happening.

You know, now that I think about it, I could never piece together what time period this show was supposed to be in. Seems kinda like Archer where the time period is all over the place. All the cars were from the 40's - 60's, except Bob's Hummer H1, and Grandpa mentions Woodstock. But that's all I can think of to date it, and none of that is consistent. Speaking of Bob, I wonder if he's still gonna be the rich Pager salesman, or if the timeline will remain ambiguous.
Already done
I always thought that must be infuriating as all hell during rainy nights
You mean awesome as hell.
