Although, they're cautioned to bring along some friends, since public servers can often have little tolerance for the inexperienced.
Never actually experienced much hostility on public servers outside of the occasional noob calling. There's far more hate towards people who don't know how to shut off their fucking mic.

I was stuck in a server with some 15 year old kid constantly talking about the store he worked at and how it was super popular and he met celebrities and shit like that. It drove me fucking mad because he wouldn't shut the fuck up for three seconds and sucked shit through a crazy straw. I tried vote kicking him but my teammates wouldn't even vote

I always voice_enable 0. Always.
I like the feel of it more than CS:S but I really wish they had made cs_ and de_ versions of the new maps.
Feels like a pricey update for CS veterans....Veterans of CS: Source and CS 1.6 should rightfully put some thought into whether the upgrade is worth it, given that GO doesn't bring a lot of new content to the table.
Yeah, it's not like Valve added a bunch of new weapons, and integrated new gamemodes with maps of their own. For $15 it's a hell of a deal.
I've got 42 hours played and the most hostility I've seen is done in a very jokey way, such as if a CT grabs 3 hostages instead of 4 they joke about him but actually let him know what he did wrong.
To be honest I'm very impressed with it so far.

CS grew together with the community. It still sucks down here in Brazil though.

And, for some reason, it's cheaper than Counter-Strike: Source now, so if you're a newcomer to the series, there's really no point to not get GO unless you want CS:S for the Garry's Mod content. :v:
im kinda surprised how nice the community on matchmaking has been so far
Probably because the ~pro idiots from CSS don't like change and didn't upgrade to CSGO.
I don't understand his hate towards gungame, it IS a bunch of people running around shooting blindly. I barely ever seen camping in it too. I really enjoy cs:go, I still hate the awpers but the addition of new weapons, re-done maps, and a cleaner interface was def needed for the cs franchise. $15 is a good price.
Reminds me of the begnning of TF2. Almost all servers had nice players. I remember most were tolerant to the unexperiencied ones.

You could just mute the people being idiots so that you can still hear your teammates.
The first one, Arms Race, sounds like a good idea on paper, but quickly devolves into guys running around like chickens with their heads cut off and shooting blindly.
Also, since the game ends when one person reaches the scoring limit, there's really no emphasis in team play. It's simply a bunch of guys shooting at each other without a sense of strategy.
that's literally what gungame is have you ever fucking played it
that's literally what gungame is have you ever fucking played it
That's like, the whole fucking appeal of the gamemode word for word.
Yeah, that is why I love GunGame. Its a frantic mess of fun and bullets. Its not about the team work or strategy, its about killing everything in sight.
Probably because the ~pro idiots from CSS don't like change and didn't upgrade to CSGO.
I actually didn't have that problem on CSS either personally. I was pretty good about sticking to more casual servers though.
Probably because the ~pro idiots from CS 1.6 don't like change and didn't upgrade to CSGO.
Fixed, most of those people never even made it to CSS.
Played quite a bit of this. I love the snappy quick-paced gameplay style.
And I was surprised at how many kills I got in the vanilla gamemode since I remember it being so unforgiving. The gungame gamemode is great fun as well.
I hope they update it like Tf2 (except hats) but for $14, I wouldn't care if they didn't.
Doesn't seem that big of a deal to get it, probably wait till christmas sale.

The most hostility was when I accidentally tossed an incindiary next to the hostages :v:
"You dumb mother of fuck, why did you do that"
I haven't seen this much hostility ever since...
...any other Counter Strike game.
Actually, the hostility is the same in just about any game nowadays.

To be fair, if you did that in real life, I would say the same.
This game looks really interesting. How is the game anyways?

its counter-strike
its counter-strike
Just with a lot more guns, better balance, better graphics, two new kinds of grenade, better sound, a couple new maps, and official gungame gamemodes.

Try it out for yourself, it's only a few pounds.
