US rapper TI helped to talk a suicidal man down from the top of a 22-storey building in Atlanta, Georgia. Police say TI joined an assembled crowd of people below the skyscraper before asking officers if he could help. The man agreed to come down in exchange for a few minutes with the rapper, police said. "I told him it ain't that bad. It'll get better, to put the time and effort into making it better," said TI, whose real name is Clifford Harris. He told the Associated Press news agency the man seemed "beat up by life". "I just reminded him, know that I know. It looks bad right now but it can turn around." TI said he drove to the building after hearing about the incident on the radio. The musician recorded a video of himself on a mobile phone which was shown to the man to prove that he was really there. The man, who has not been named, was later taken to hospital. TI is due in court on Friday for a parole hearing after he was arrested last month on suspicion of possessing ecstasy. He is on probation following his release from prison in December after serving several months for possessing illegal weapons.
Remeber kids, when you are feeling suicidal just seek out your friendly neighbourhood rapper
As much as I'm about to sound like a dickwad, I'm guessing he probably did this to boost his image, considering his current situation with the justice system.
Whoopsalot is right as hell, god damn, he didn't care about this guy :sigh:
As much as I'm about to sound like a dickwad, I'm guessing he probably did this to boost his image, considering his current situation with the justice system.
Isn't it "better" for his image as a rapper when he got jailed for illegal weapons instead of pulling a Vanilla Ice?
I don't think T.I. cares about his "image" some people just wanna help others. even though he shoots people :tinfoil:
As much as I'm about to sound like a dickwad, I'm guessing he probably did this to boost his image, considering his current situation with the justice system.
Does it matter? He still did it either way, and he should be commended for it. We can question his motives some other time.

D'hawwww.
What ever purpose he had in mind, what he did was an amazing thing to do and it warms my heart to hear.
Why were the last two sentences put in? They had no relevance to what the story was intended to be about.
Why were the last two sentences put in? They had no relevance to what the story was intended to be about.
Some backstory, I dont see a problem with it.

Ti will now be getting movie deals. TI: Rapping Negotiator
As much as I'm about to sound like a dickwad, I'm guessing he probably did this to boost his image, considering his current situation with the justice system.
Or it could be that he has empathy for others and wanted to help the guy. Maybe he was suicidal at one point himself.
Remeber kids, when you are feeling suicidal just seek out your friendly neighbourhood rapper
Ah yes, "rappers". We have dismissed that claim.
'Yo nigga, white men can't jump.' 'okay'
'Yo nigga, white men can't jump.' 'okay'
god damn this is funny shit right here
Stop thinking TI is some evil criminal. He is just paranoid. The reason why he stockpiled so many guns is because several years earlier to his arrest, he was driving with one of his best friends. He was shot at. TI was not harmed, but his friend was killed. He got really paranoid after that.
I am a sad man who read that acronym as Texas Instruments.
What? i think he just doesnt want someone to lose their life so foolishly
holy shit is that actually a song?
As much as I'm about to sound like a dickwad, I'm guessing he probably did this to boost his image, considering his current situation with the justice system.
And? Would you prefer if he didn't do anything at all, like most of you would have done?
I like some of T.I.'s song, they have meaning. I'm glad that he saved a life. It's a shame he was jailed for gun charges after he became paranoid after his friend was shot and killed.
I am a sad man who read that acronym as Texas Instruments.
I thought the same...
Who the fuck is TI?
