A step in the right direction, but it'll still be "awesome parkour explosion escape cutscene"
"To begin with, there were very few instances of QTEs in the game; in fact there was only one in that whole hour-long E3 demo," Eidos Montreal's Valerie Bourdeau explained in the latest community Q&A. "However, given the strong reactions it evoked in the press and the community, it was an easy decision to do away with them entirely. So we're not doing it. No quick time."
Yeah, good decision. One is one too many.

That's good. But what about free use of rope arrows and jumping? We going to get those back at some point?
That's good. But what about free use of rope arrows and jumping? We going to get those back at some point?
According to some people who tried the game, the jumping mechanics are at the moment borderline broken because of how linear it's trying to be on an architecture that clearly isn't, so every time you try to jump on a ledge that's considered out of range by the game's odd mechanics, you just roll around and fall to your death instead of performing an actual jump.
Isn't all jumping context sensitive? As I recall, you can't jump around freely, only at prompted points like with Rope arrows where you can only use them on specific targets.
