• Warren to Endorse Clinton
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) plans on endorsing Hillary Clinton within a few weeks, according to a new report. Warren is also currently not interested in becoming Clinton’s running mate but has not ruled it out, according to Reuters. Reuters on Wednesday said Warren could publicly back Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, within a week or two. Sources close to Warren said the senator has increased conversations with Clinton’s team in recent weeks. Warren’s support of Clinton, they said, is driven by a desire to keep Donald Trump from winning the White House.
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/282806-warren-to-endorse-clinton This will cause a shitstorm on /r/s4p
I lost most of my respect for her anyway for not supporting Bernie early on.
I lost most of my respect for her anyway for not supporting Bernie early on.
It's as if people sometimes stick to their political platforms over who is running. Weird, huh?
Progressives, after almost being the tail wagging the dog, are now trying to appeal to party unity, win back respect from the establishment after almost fucking it, and back a shit candidate against a (supposedly) shittier one. This is american politics in a nutshell. Vote for a woman because she's a (right wing, bourgeois) woman, don't vote for the literal Hitler.

I don't know where this sexism narrative is coming from on the sanders side
Nobody's saying to vote for clinton because she's a woman. I don't know where this sexism narrative is coming from on the sanders side
Her entire campaign is based on it as the icing on top. She's a Clinton, she's experienced, she does well with minority and women voters (better than socialist white men), and she's a careerist that wants to part of her name based on her vagina. When she declared victory a couple days ago it was all about it being a historic moment for women (as if she can relate to most of them), and her attacks on Sanders' class warfare and anti-Wall street rhetoric consist of 'this won't end racism and sexism'. She's a neoliberal hawk that's only set apart from the rest of them by playing the edge of also having a vagina, and her husband's track record with african americans over things like affirmative action (which itself is an example of putting race or sex above class, like Hillary does). She's a shill, she's taken the worst platforms of the Democratic party (the center ones) and combined it with pandering to long time democratic-voting demographics in order to retain the left wing veneer. Also, the race-baiting of socialists is so far and beyond unacceptable it not only reflects on the Democrats as having gone so far to the right over the years, but since having lost any left character they've degenerated into a sort of racial, tribalist identity politics that everything is grounded in.

No, it's not bernie side saying it, just look at Clinton's campaign. Her ads and speeches constantly remind everyone she has a vagina.
Example of her saying vote for me because I'm a woman?
What, you never saw the billboards featuring Clinton aggresively gesturing towards her exposed crotch with both hands?
Example of her saying vote for me because I'm a woman?
She has a campaign ad that ran last month focused solely on a little girl asking "if you become president will you be paid the same as a man?" Her speech in California talked about breaking a glass ceiling "but not this one" (referring to the literal glass dome of the building she was in). Like, you have to be really ignorant of her entire campaign to not see it. It's not the sole thing she's campaigning with but it's not something you can easily miss.
I'd honestly be very surprised if Clinton didn't choose a highly progressive running mate. Sanders captured a huge share of the voters, and Clinton needs a balancing force to try and win some of those back, especially with how many are apparently considering either abstaining from voting altogether now or worse, going over to the Trump camp out of sheer spite. If I had to bet on anybody at the moment, I'd place my chips on Warren as Clinton's runningmate. There's a lot of appeal there for progressives. Warren is highly respected.
Just take a look at her latest on instagram lol https://www.instagram.com/p/BGX9-ADEPmY/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BGZv57_EPmI/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BGXHpobEPtJ/
Example of her saying vote for me because I'm a woman?
She literally printed and distributed "woman cards" lol
Another approach would be to seek a highly likeable running mate to try to address her deficit there, not sure who though (and maybe Warren could do both)
IIRC Bernie has alluded to being open to a VP slot last month.
Example of her saying vote for me because I'm a woman?
I remember her explicitly stating she wasn't an establishment politician because she was a woman. Sure, she didn't explicitly say "vote for me, I'm a woman", but that's basically what she meant. I'm sure there are other examples.
I lost most of my respect for her anyway for not supporting Bernie early on.
Yep, I don't think she thought this through.
I'd honestly be very surprised if Clinton didn't choose a highly progressive running mate. I sincerely doubt though that if she doesn't do something that she risks a blowout victory for trump.
Who do reckon Trump's runningmate will be? Seeing as how most of his ideologically compatible choices only exist as comic book villains and cult leaders, I honestly have no idea who he might choose.
Who do reckon Trump's runningmate will be? The likely choice is someone radically stupid like himself but submissive to his overpowering personality.
IIRC Bernie has alluded to being open to a VP slot last month.
And Clinton laughed at the prospect of having him as a VP. Sanders and Warren are both bad choices for VP because then that eliminates them from actually being useful and changing things in the Senate. Clinton would be smart to pick one, because then she can actually pass her corporate agenda a tiny bit easier through the senate, but anyone who thinks it would be a good choice for a progressive to be Clinton's running mate don't understand politics. The Vice President is a ceremonial position with almost no real power other than titleship. Anyone who sits on this position has no power to change things.

Here's an article on it: http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/10/13/hillary-im-an-outsider-and-different-from-obama-because-im-a-woman/ Yes, yes breitbart I know, I can't be arsed to find a YouTube video at the moment.

I don't know about you, but if I was asked to choose between two politicians knowing nothing about them other than that one is a woman and one is rich, I would go with the woman. But this is the real world where we know more than one thing about politicians and it's almost as though it doesn't actually matter what one or two ad campaigns focus on.

It's there to enhance the experience.
Thing is that Trump is an unknown, whereas Hillary Clinton is known for being shady and corrupt.
If you really don't know anything about Trumps potential policies and statements you're an uninformed voter at this point.
Thing is that Trump is an unknown, whereas Hillary Clinton is known for being shady and corrupt.
She's also known for having fairly established political views whereas Trump changes what he thinks every 90 seconds - and not in response to facts.
