Looks nice but Imma wait for some reviews.
Games like this can be hit or miss for me
The combat looks clunky as fuck in this game. Going to wait for reviews too. Way too pricy.
I've been playing it for the past week, been trying to get it done to make a video review.
but to summarize, it's overall just unfinished and it's made by a small team. It want to be a story driven game but the writing is just so awful and they couldn't even get voice actors from one half ot the globe. So many different accents in a single society.
I'm about half way in though.

From what I've seen
[sp]the beginning is very much like Dragon Age story wise in a sense that some undead(blight) are attacking and you can now become hero due to the demon thing[/sp]
is that how it is?

1:1
I'm now like 18 hours into the game, and I've watched some reviews and to be honest, so many of them are so off the mark. Many are either saying this game is complete shit, or the 2nd to Dark Souls.
The bad.
-The writing is shit.
-Voice acting ranges from professional talent to this-guy-we-found-rummaging-through-our-dumpster level.
-Animations are good during combat and for some rare cut scenes, but overall look broken.
-Animation sets are snapped to during cutscenes so someone might literally teleport into a new pose for a new set of dialogue
-The team needs to hire a cinematographer, since many cutscenes are just random camera angles.
-People's mouths stay open when not speaking.
-Dialogue options with no sub options stay selectable, but many story specific options stay around. "I'd like to talk about the people around town" "Alright, what would you like to know." "Nevermind"
-About half the people so far in the game have no animations. Many people in the city are posed and don't move ever. Not even idle movements, they are literally statues.
-There are three classes. Warrior, Ranger, and Pyromancer. But Pyromancer is something you'll use in either W or R. Ranger is likely to be the class you'll use because you can nonstop block, and then wait for them to attack to counter attack. With warrior to do a counter attack you have to be not blocking and then wait for them to attack to block. It suffers from Assasin's Creed syndrome.
-So far the areas in the game will regen enemies, ALA FarCry 2 until you finish the quest in the area. Otherwise they will respawn every day. That's just my testing though.
-Enemies don't have stamina so you can wail on an enemies shield for maybe 60 seconds and it will just continue to block nonstop.
-Music is fantastic. Except it's like 4 songs and each area has the same 30 second undertone looping nonstop.
-The dialogue is by far the weakest part of the game. The replies to questions or comments between two people rarely match properly, and it often sounds like the person just forgot what you said and says whatever they wanted to.
-Atleast for female, your character is an asshole not "a badass". Also suffers from the L.A. Noire Syndrome, A scene mine go like: "I... I can't believe he's dead." You then choose [Keep it together, we need to press on] "Stop being a fucking baby, your dad sucked cock and was evil."
I'm really not exaggerating that dialogue example.
The good
-The story and lore... ideas are decent.
-The combat is fun, when you start working the higher level options.
-The amount of customization is really nice, the UI is clunky in this regard but you can swap weapons or armor from a dealer, and the you can customize that weapon with 1-3 options based upon the recipes you've collected through quests or looting and using items to craft it. These can improve damage, resistance, more health, crafting options, speed, critical chance, etc
-The companion system is a bit funky, but it's atleast simple, and you will often not have a problem with companions except in combat where they can be sometimes frustrating.
-The game actually looks decent. SSAO is really strong but the modeling is really really good, texture quality ranges from decent to fantastic depending on the scene.
-The environments are well detailed
-It has a full day and night cycle which except for certain events, plays out constantly during battles, indoor talking, boss battles, et cetera.
-It can be very satisfying to play as a ranger without blocking and only doing ripostes one after another on larger bosses. (Can be tedious)
-Control pretty well on Mouse and Keyboard, people recommend gamepad, but it works perfectly find on a M&K
That's all I got so far, ultimately, it just feels really unfinished. Because some of the things aren't even hidden. Like the dialogue, the mouth glitches, animations, et cetera.
Looks interesting, but I'll wait for some more reviews. Getting mixed signals of it so far. :x
