Republican donor and operative from Chicago's North Shore who said he had tried to obtain Hillary Clinton's missing emails from Russian hackers killed himself in a Minnesota hotel room days after talking to The Wall Street Journal about his efforts, public records show. However, the Chicago Tribune obtained a Minnesota state death record filed in Olmsted County that says Smith committed suicide in a hotel near the Mayo Clinic at 1:17 p.m. on Sunday, May 14. He was found with a bag over his head with a source of helium attached. A medical examiner's report gives the same account, without specifying the time, and a report from Rochester police further details his suicide. In the note recovered by police, Smith apologized to authorities and said that "NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER" was involved in his death. He wrote that he was taking his own life because of a "RECENT BAD TURN IN HEALTH SINCE JANUARY, 2017" and timing related "TO LIFE INSURANCE OF $5 MILLION EXPIRING."
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/politics/ct-peter-smith-death-met-0713-20170713-story.html
"NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER"
Well, that's totally convincing.
writing "NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER" in your own suicide note is a totally normal thing
Does life insurance even normally pay on suicide?
Does life insurance even normally pay on suicide?
A typical policy has a suicide exclusion period of 2 years so you don't run out and off yourself immediately after buying the contract. They will probably pay out in this case, though.
I dunno about you guys but sounds to me like foul play.
I did it I'm the assassin
He wrote that he was taking his own life because of a "RECENT BAD TURN IN HEALTH SINCE JANUARY, 2017" and timing related "TO LIFE INSURANCE OF $5 MILLION EXPIRING."
Mitch McConnell murdered this man
It's just like that time the russian mobsters committed suicide by stabbing themselves in the back 35 times and then locking themselves in a suitcase, and then throwing themselves in said suitcase into a river definitely suicide.
Russia is definitely a government that we should be inviting into our country.
NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER"
not that i'm accusing him but this sounds almost like a trump tweet (I AM NOT ACCUSING HIM!)
suicide by knife in the back, what a rotten way to go
Not fishy at all. No sir.
Just as Muller called in the agents in the Clinton email case. Very interesting timing.
If you read the entire article, it's pretty apparent that he took his own life. We don't need this to turn into pizzagate or something.
I know it's meme material but it seems pretty straightforward that it was suicide.
We don't need this to turn into pizzagate or something.
It's already too late, I'm sure.
Another way to commit suicide is shooting yourself in the back six times.
You guys should actually read the article before you get all conspiratorial.
All joking aside, it probably actually was a suicide, but it's fun to mock the way trumpets go on and on about how HIS NAME WAS SETH RICH.
All joking aside, it probably actually was a suicide, but it's fun to mock the way trumpets go on and on about how HIS NAME WAS SETH RICH.
Too fucking late, they already think the Clinton Hitman took out Peter W Smith.
If you read the entire article, it's pretty apparent that he took his own life. We don't need this to turn into pizzagate or something.
nah, this is going to be the left's Seth Rich
nah, this is going to be the left's Seth Rich
I doubt it the guy committed suicide, i'm not arguing that or doubting that I am however making jokes at the situation because the wording of the note is not particularly typical.
nah, this is going to be the left's Seth Rich
There is probably some on the left who will be like that but the overwhelming reaction seems to be way more logical about this than the rights reaction to Seth Rich. Funny enough, there are several threads on t_d saying that this was Clinton. I think this is going to be a repeat of Seth Rich for the right.
nah, this is going to be the left's Seth Rich
They don't need it, the Russia scandal is enough to rile them up
