I have a Ibanez V70CE acoustic-electric guitar, and besides the fact that when I got it home I found out how poor the craftsmanship was, the pickup doesn't work properly; for some odd reason it doesn't pickup the G string.
Now, I know a lot about wood and woodworking, but electronics elude me.
Is there any way I can fix the pickup, or is it just a lost cause?
If it is, indeed, a lost cause, is there a way I can take one of the spare humbuckers I have lying around and somehow use that?
Thanks in advance.

You could check to see the piezo is in the bridge right. And if you still can't fix it you could use the humbucker as a soundhole pickup. Sorry, I don't know much about acoustic electronics.
