Hey all, I'm doing this project for chem on the class of polymers called polyolefins, and well i cant find a few things so i was hoping Facepunch could help. I was unable to find the physical properties of polyolefins, and how they are recycled i have stuff about how there mechanically recycled, but my teacher wants us to have something about them being chemically recycled. If you can answer these i thank you so much.
Rule of thumb: Don't use the internet to get your projects finished, kid in japan tried to cheat in a test by using yahoo japan answers, got arrested and is facing 3 years in jail for fraud, your not in the same circumstances, but you never know, your teacher could still find out, don't worry you wont go to jail ;)

Of course... :colbert:

I don't know about recycling, but I assume something can be done about the Carbon - Carbon double bond.
If you introduce 2 hydrogen molecules trough hydrogenation, it should technically create methane and pentane.
Polyolefins are plastics.
Rewrite the pertinent points of this.

Recycling of LDPE, HDPE and PP by the dissolution/reprecipitation technique
Well its kind of hard not to when i have a research project that requires it... O okay thank you! This should cover the recycling part of it. [QUOTE=Contag;28441678]Polyolefins are plastics.
