• 1st gen iPod touch not detecting Wifi

My cousin recently got an older 1st gen iPod touch from one of her friends and brought it to me to try and set it up and get the Wifi working. My sister has a 2nd Gen iPod touch and it detects my Wifi signal just fine, however no matter what I do this one refuses to even let me search for a Wifi signal. In fact, in the settings menu Wifi is grayed out and says "No Wi-Fi". I googled it and one website mentioned something about a hardware problem. I'm hoping this isn't it. Any help is welcomed. My cousin asked me to Jailbreak it, and I tried BlackRa1n, but the Wifi on the iPod is broken. :| [editline]02:12AM[/editline] I tried resetting the network settings and the wifi menu in Settings is still grayed out, so it has to be a Hardware problem. :sigh:
