Death to the Corpse Emperor.
AHHH MY SPLEEEN!
[editline]edit[/editline]
This is awesome news though Dawn of War was always my favorite Strategy game and to a lesser extent, Dawn of War II, despite it's total dynamic change.
Hoo boy, I hope we get some more Blood Ravens.
Angelos better be here.
Hope it has more races this time.
YES, YESSS. Can't wait to slaughter some filthy xenos and heretics.
2016 is shaping up to be a good year for gaming. Unlike 2014, thanks Ubisoft.
I hope it's closer to DoW1 than 2.
how much teef do I need to collect to get all the dlc this time?
I just hope it isn't watered down CoH again. Once you play CoH you really can't go back to DoW.
If you go play DoW1 after playing CoH2 you can also see how much they've refined the Relic RTS over the years.
i hope im allowed to make a shitton of dudes this time
i'm quite bored of the squad tacticool gameplay, i want armies
Please be like DoW1 - no more squad tactics with rpg elements. I want a huge army and ability to build a base.
And please, for the love of Emperor, no more Blood Ravens/Ultramarines as main characters.

I miss being able to amass a horde of Terminators and teleporting them straight into the enemies base.
The squad tactics idea is a decent one, but in DOW2 everything felt so watered down.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
Hope it has more races this time.
Here's hoping. Though I bet that the first 4 races will be Space Marines, Chaos, Orks and Eldar, whether or not they have a substantial starting roster.
Hope it has more races this time.
I actually hope not. The four races in vanilla dow and dow 2 made it a pita to balance on release. Of course everyone wants their favourites so we're sadly get 4-5 minimum on release.
Okay, real question. Why is it called Dawn of War when in the lore there's been constant warfare for tens of thousands of years? It don't make any damn sense.

It sounds cool and that's all that matters sometimes.
Because every new dawn a new war on another planet starts.
I hope it's closer to DoW1 than 2.
I hope for a bigger, better, prettier DoW1. That's literally all I would ever want from the next DoW game.

WH40k is built upon this. Powerfist with a chainblade bolted to it for good measure? How is that even going to work? Who the fuck cares, Chainfist is metal as shit.
I hope it has the same style of co-op campaign DoW2 has.
In a perfect world its a mix of DoW 1&2.
The fact they've only started teasing this a day before the announcement is worrying me though, I hope its not just another DLC character.
It's going to be a iOS game
Okay, real question. Why is it called Dawn of War when in the lore there's been constant warfare for tens of thousands of years? It don't make any damn sense.
Because the first game began at dawn. The war began at dawn, or something.
The name doesn't matter much.
I'd like a DoW 3 that's got the scale of Dawn of war (or bigger) the Gameplay of Dawn of War II, but with more things to do. Base building just feels weird, but there needs to be the ability to set up forward reinforcement points, defenses, and some minor structures.
As much as the tactical combat was cool in DoW2, I'd love to build an army of Space Marines and build custom bases. What's the Warhammer 40k motto again? "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war." Also please bring the cast of the last games back!

They should keep the Blood Ravens as their main SM force. If they use anyone else they'll probably piss someone off. Besides, I don't get why the Blood Ravens get so much hate. I like 'em, despite all the "THEY STOLE MAH GUN" crap. I don't get why Relic did that.
I feel like i'm the only one here who wants an RTS/shooter hybrid. While I get that the point of Make War Not Love 3 is to see if Dawn of War 3 should be made in the first place, Relic could at least try new things with the Essence Engine between Company of Heroes 2's release and Sega's acquisition of the 40K license.
In short, I really don't want to think that Relic has been twiddling their thumbs after releasing CoH2, because the DLCs for that game could easily be made by a sufficiently bored art team.
