The last day my pc has gone CRAZY! And now i got a program i dont know what is. It is called Windows Fix Disk. Do anyone know what this is, is it a virus messing with my pc or is it a program that i should let scan my pc and fix the problems? My pc tells me that it has disk problems and that there is som damage in my disk or something.
If it is a virus, any good programs for removing viruses like this
-Thanks

Virus, get MSE, or Avast for anti-virus, and get Malwearbytes
to get rid of it, Follow the instructions in above post's link.
looks like it might been discovered, so anti virus programs should pick it up.
If it denies access to anti virus, restart P.C, go into safe mode, then run anti virus.
It's not serious though, should be fairly simple to kill.
Thanks, my friends told me that this were and virus to. Il try to remove it or il get back to u guys ;)
i fixed it... Thanks guys :D
Actully my pc is like bomalabang and the system files are messed up and i probably have to reinstall the stystem D:
Talk about a broken automerge.
Also, grats.
How strange I got the exact virus last night, it removed the start menu icons and all programs, along with task manager and tried to make me restart, I hit the power switch and went into safemode and did a restore to a few days ago and are now scanning with everything. I can't believe that they can actually install programs onto your system just through accidentally clicking on a ad.
MSE found two "severe" java exploits so I am hoping the scans are getting rid of it.
hmm
Don't reformat! I literally JUST returned a client's computer with this issue.
1. All the files were hidden. Go into your folder options, "view" tab, and click "Show hidden files, folders, and drives".
2. You'll have to go through your computer and change all the "hidden" properties on your folders. Just go to C:/Users/USERNAME/ and right click each folder, click properties, and un-check the "hidden" box.
3. Avast and Malwarebytes only solved part of the issue (Windows Fix Disk). Do your google links get redirected? If so, I had to run a Kaspersky boot CD. You can find it HERE.
4. If all else fails, it might be located in your /APPDATA/Temp/ or maybe your /APPDATA/Local/ folder. Wouldn't hurt to look and try and remove it manually.
Reading this makes me want to do a full scan, even though my system is clean :(

For windows7 the viruses files are kept here:
%Temp%[Random Characters]
%Temp%[Random Characters].exe
%Temp%dfrg
%Temp%dfrgr
%Temp%[Random Characters].dll
%Temp%[Random Characters].exe
%Temp%tmp2.tmp
I think I have flushed it out but I am now getting random BSOD/driver issues

Instead of changing it so windows lets you view hidden files, why not just open up a command prompt and use the command
attrib -h *
?

That works, too. I'm not very well versed in command line hoopla.
