I was in England two years before the violence in Syria on other business. I met with top British officials, who confessed to me that they were preparing something in Syria,” said Dumas. He continued by saying, “This was in Britain not in America. Britain was organizing an invasion of rebels into Syria. They even asked me, although I was no longer minister for foreign affairs, if I would like to participate. ’This operation goes way back. It was prepared, preconceived and planned… in the region it is important to know that this Syrian regime has a very anti-Israeli stance. Consequently, everything that moves in the region- and I have this from the former Israeli prime minister who told me ‘we’ll try to get on with our neighbours but those who don’t agree with us will be destroyed. It’s a type of politics, a view of history, why not after all. But one should know about it.’”
Dang Assad and his "Anti-Israel" Rhetoric
Every country has an invasion plan for every other country. This is kind of known and it happens all the time.
Rated - Bad Reading
They get guys together and scheme whose on board and not on board in invasions all the time. It's one of the main reasons the world doesn't descend into madness and warfare all the time because of objections along the line.

They were all nickered up about his anti-Israel stance. The tone and context in which the information is presented should make that clear.
I really doubt Britain would have invaded Syria in 2009.
It's just an attempt at cold war politics in the modern world and it still failed in the planning stage. Shows hostile intent and what not but it's not entire surprising considering the nature of middle eastern politics. The motive is still there too
’This operation goes way back.
