That's because its booth will be in "a parking lot directly across from the Convention Center's South Hall." That's according to a message sent to Ouya developers by the company's head of developer relations. It's an offer to them to "provide everything you'll need to put on a killer game demo—Ouya console ... check; controllers ... check; TV ... check. "You'll be able to demo your games to media, E3 attendees, and random people on the street," she added. "Ouya's E3 location will be 100 percent open to the public." I had faith in Ouya and they let me down
cant wait to see the videos of the event it will be full of confused people playing shovelware made by an autistic 17 year old
Winner of the least visited E3 booth goes to...
This sounds really fucking desperate. It's like selling T-shirts out of your car at a Metallica concert.
I had faith in Ouya and they let me down
I don't see how they could've let you down. It's exactly what they promised it to be - a console for playing android games on tv. It was a failed concept in the beginning, I have no idea why so many people supported this.
This sounds really fucking desperate. They wanted their event to be open, like their console. I'm sure they wouldn't have had too hard of a time getting an actual booth.
Winner of the least visited E3 booth goes to...
Not them because technically they aren't at E3.
Not them because technically they aren't at E3.
Technically you ruined the joke.
I don't know why anyone would even fund the Ouya anyway, it's a dumb concept that a shitty low-end PC can accomplish for cheaper.
I don't know why anyone would even fund the Ouya anyway, it's a dumb concept that a shitty low-end PC can accomplish for cheaper.
Aren't they like 99 dollars? did low end PCs get super cheap or what.
ill fucking park my car on their ouya shit
Aren't they like 99 dollars? did low end PCs get super cheap or what.
You could buy an old core 2 duo desktop for £10 2nd hand and it would kick the shit out of it. Oh, and it wouldn't be running a badly skinned version of Javalagdroid.
How does the Dev unit look better than the finished product?
I can't wait for the playable demo of the Ouya's killer app.
Well I guess that's good for them....the concept behind it is noble, but I'm just not too excited for this.

Oh, and it wouldn't be running a badly skinned version of Javalagdroid.
My machine is an old Core 2 Duo that was used as a media hub beforehand, and it can play Bioshock Infinite, unlike the Ouya, a brand new console coming out in the Wii U/PS4 generation. That is insane, this thing isn't going to stand a chance. efit: ninjas sapping my automerge
Oh look, it's an Ouya thread full of people who don't know a damn thing about the casual market.
Oh look, it's an Ouya thread full of people who don't know a damn thing about the casual market.
Casuals go and buy an iPhone or a Wii or go and play Facebook games. Android has no good games other than Emulators, this thing will not sell.
Oh look, it's an Ouya thread full of people who don't know a damn thing about the casual market.
Oh look, it's a guy who doesn't realize Ouya is being marketing at hardcore gamers.
Oh look, it's an Ouya thread full of people who don't know a damn thing about the casual market.
There are consoles in pretty much every house that wants one. The Ouya fills 0 niches.
"The indie console that everyone needs! Indie developers need the Ouya to publish their games, and have them easily accessible to everyone!" I type fanatically while adjusting my fedora, on my personal home computer with an INTERNET CONNECTION AND ABILITY TO DOWNLOAD AND GOOGLE THINGS
Developers hate Ouya too http://techcrunch.com/2013/05/18/why-we-are-leaving-ouya/ It's far more than Android games on a $100 console.
I honestly don't see the problem with Ouya as a media thing if I wanted a media hub I'd rather get this than some old dilapidated laptop that looks like shit on my shelf
Developers hate Ouya too http://techcrunch.com/2013/05/18/why-we-are-leaving-ouya/ It's far more than Android games on a $100 console.

We were (and still are) fans of Ouya and have been rooting for them since the start. We wish them the best.
Uh, sounds like it was just a cost effectiveness thing, they don't hate Ouya I wouldn't buy Ouya for games ever though android games generally stink major butts. Especially if their development kit is poorly put together - if that's the case I can see that it will probably fail

I never thought of menu elements to be difficult to implement, not like I've done it before.

They were too lazy to develop a console ui for their game, i have 0 issue with ouya requiring a ui that's usable with a controller in games.
this is going to be a huge failure and you all know it

I mean they are an indie team but plenty of indie teams have talented programmers on board.
people host out of confrence shit all the time at game conventions i went to the official elder scrolls beer party at pax this year for example,.
