No Sam And Max, no Back To The Future: The Game, no Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People and everything listed has been released/re-released in the last year or so. It might be just opinion but seems like its just a reminder that these have been released/re-released.

Judging from this little tidbit
These are some recent adventure games, but there are still plenty that didn't make the list. However, curious adventurers looking for a good start should check out these games. With Day of the Tentacle Special Edition and a Minecraft adventure game coming over the horizon, there adventure game fans have a lot more to look forward to.
the article was written with recent adventure games in mind to use as an introduction for people looking to get in to them, not ones released half a decade ago and older, which makes sense, I wouldn't introduce someone to a strategy game by telling them to go play Civilization II :v:
Thing is, Point and click games are pretty much timeless. It's not like a strategy game where the mechanics and design philosophy change.

I have to disagree, to an extent. Design changes and the mechanics are swapped a bit. Try looking at Zak Mckracken and put it next to any of those. Gemini Rue is about as close as it gets.
It's a comprehensive list and I feel it includes all the forms of point n' click adventures adequately from modern to old school in modern form.

But both Gemini Rue (which by the way is a fucking awesome game with an amazing atmosphere) and Primordia came out either before or at a similar time as the ones he mentioned there.
