You know why Loughner is smiling in his mugshot? He knows the Democrats fully support him.

[release]Rush Limbaugh reacted to the instantly infamous mugshot of Jared Lee Loughner, the suspected gunman in the Arizona shooting, by saying that Loughner is smiling in the picture because he knows he is backed by the Democratic Party.
Speaking on his radio show Tuesday, Limbaugh said that Loughner was getting the exact attention that he wanted:
"What Mr. Loughner knows is that he has the full support of a major political party in this country. He's sitting there in jail. He knows what's going on, he knows that...the Democrat party is attempting to find anybody but him to blame. He knows if he plays his cards right, he's just a victim. He's the latest in a never-ending parade of victims brought about by the unfairness of America...this guy clearly understands he's getting all the attention and he understands he's got a political party doing everything it can, plus a local sheriff doing everything that they can to make sure he's not convicted of murder - but something lesser."
What a goon.
He's obviously not insane.

:downs:
Isn't Huffingtonpost a really biased source?
Anyway, what a fucking twat.
Aren't the Repubs the big gun guys?
Also Loughner was a fucking moron and psychopath. I pity any party that shelters his kind.
Another shitty speculative Huffington Post article, nothing to see here.
Rush Limbaugh is fat

What does the source matter when they're directly quoting someone
Another shitty speculative Huffington Post article, nothing to see here.
What's speculative about a direct quote and audio?
Why would the Democrats fight to have his sentence reduced? He shot a Democrat. This is perfect fodder for the Democrats against the Republicans.

Damn you, ninja edits.

Not really. This is taken directly from Rush Limbaugh's radio show. I get the point Limbaugh was trying to make. He just went about it in the worst possible way.

Oops I'm late.
The point he was trying to make is that we should execute the insane
aw yes rush's impeccable logic
even 2112 is more rooted in reality than rush's head
The point he was trying to make is that we should execute the insane
I said I got what he was talking about, not that I agreed. He feels that people are getting away with crimes unpunished because others are increasingly shifting blame to others. There is a kernel of truth to this, but overall it is wrong. I was just saying that he was harming his side by saying it like that. People hear the asinine accusation and (rightly) ignore him. The only people he will get to with shit like this is his own insane regular viewers.
uh who exactly has gotten away with murder by shifting blame?
I thought political parties/associates would alienate him, instead they all use him to shift blame to the opposition?
uh who exactly has gotten away with murder by shifting blame?
See, that's where the "asinine" part comes in. They're trying to attach a small societal problem--blame the teacher/company/whatever, not the kid--to larger things like that. As far as I've seen, it simply doesn't happen. But I'm not sure if I'm making sense any more. Good night.

psychotic, not a psychopath
The point he was trying to make is that we should execute the insane
Like Rush Limbaugh?
uh who exactly has gotten away with murder by shifting blame?
Dan White?
Point's already been made that there's very little, if anything, to link the motivation of the shooting to political ideology. The guy was simply insane.
Dan White?
well he didn't get away with it
