Hey guys,
Since my last good graphic card just stopped working (ati 5970radeon dual GPU), I need a new one.
So I live in germany(prize in €), have around 500€ and I am looking for a new, decent one to play games like BF3 on Ultra.
The rest of my computer:
Intel Core I7 860 4x 2,80
Corsair Vengeance 2x 4GB 1600MHZ ram
-Acer 24" screen, full HD 1920x1200 1080P
So just a note:
I could run BF3 on ultra before too.
I am looking now for one that can do it aswell, around 300-500€.
Doesn't matter if Nvidia or AMD, just a decent one that won't be outdated in like a half year.
GTX 670 would suit you fine, not sure on pricing in Europe though
It should be quite high because its the new series :s
But I think not more than 500€, I will look at it later when I have time.
You can get a GTX680 with 500 and it should do fine with battlefield 3.
Yeah I thought that too, but I guess the Gtx670 is almost as good as the 680, is 100€ cheaper and could handle bf3 on ultra too.
since shadowhunter's question has pretty much been answered, and I have the same question, I guess I'll ask it here. I need a new GPU in the $200-300 range and I was wondering if the rest of my specs are good or should I just build a whole new PC all together? I don't want my GPU to be bottlenecked or w/e.
Nvidia GeForce GTS 250
4 GB DDR3 RAM
Intel Quad Core Q9450 @ 2.66 GHz ~ 2.7 GHz
You've still got good enough specs that there won't be a huge bottleneck. The 570 has about a 10% performance gain over the 7850, but the 7850 is on newer architecture and draws less power. What PSU do you have by the way?

Oh yeah and the 7850 will run cooler
the nvidia card you recommended is a bad choice
How so?

The Geforce card is an superclocked one, not worth the money.
Btw guys, if anyone wants to know, my friend got a gtx 670, runs like hell.(In a good way).

Seeing as how it was the same price as the stock one when I posted it, I'd say it's pretty worth the money to me.
