• What is a jailbreak without Cydia for?

I just jailbroke my iPhone again after a while, and Cydia doesn't work on 4.2.1 with redsn0w. Is there any way to still get stuff from Cydia and other apps on the phone? Or is there a jailbreak for 4.2.1 that works with Cydia at the moment? What is the point of having a jailbroken iPhone where Cydia doesn't work?
cydia is nothing more than a way to find applications.

Well I'm sitting here with a jailbroken iPhone and a broken Cydia. What should I do now?
Throw it out a window

Cydia will work the second time.
Either that or if it has root access via USB, download the latest version of Cydia, throw the deb in the autoinstall folder (/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall/) and reboot. Might work, otherwise just restore from iTunes and try again.
I will try that. Thanks for the help
Allowing unsigned applications, filesystem access. Cydia is just an installer.
You do realise that the 4.2.1 jailbreak is only in beta? Meaning it's not finished and is missing a lot of things. Even bluetooth is disabled with that jailbreak.

Downgrade if you can
