• Wired Connection Down

I had a mental lapse and pressed "Disable" for my internet connection on my desktop. Now I cannot connect to the internet. I tried resetting the modem--nothing changed. If you need more information about my problem, just ask. Thanks in advance.
Type in c:\windows\system32\ncpa.cpl in the explorer adress bar. Then right-click the inactive connection and activate it.
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, so would it be system64 instead?
No, I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and that one works for me.
Thanks Anton, but it is stuck on "Identifying..." after clicking enable? Should I wait a bit longer? It has been about 2 minutes. Edit: Okay, now it says "Unidentified Network". No connection still. Am I supposed to set up a new connection or network in the Network and Sharing Center since I reset the modem?

I'll post a photo of my screen (can't find a flash drive right now to transfer a screenshot). My parents said that yesterday they were planning to swtich to AT & T, but they changed their minds because they would have to demolish part of the wall behind our TV to put some new cables for AT & T (I don't know). So AT & T was our ISP for a bit. Would that cause this prolem? However I still think it is because I hit disable. Thanks Richard. hmm. does wired connections work for everyone else, and all ports are verified? also, i believe you can just click on one of those protocls (IE: Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)) and there should be a properties or configure option somewhere on that screen.
Nevermind. Problem solved. I just unplugged and replugged my router. Thanks for all the suggestions though.
