All of my other guns lacked a certain engraved inscription, and that was the "MADE IN CHINA" just forward of the magazine hole-thing. I'd had thoughts of doing something about the words since day one, but never got around to it. If you are at all familiar with plastic modeling, this is a skill you either already know or will need to learn at some point. You'll need some things, of course. -Squadron Green Putty (white glue works too, if you don't want best results) -Laquer Thinner (if using putty) -Sandpaper -Paint -2x brushes -Toothbrush First off, you'll want to apply the green putty over the markings. Thin the putty in laquer thinner, if you're using putty. Ratio doesn't really matter, just don't douse your putty in thinner, and it'll be fine. Make sure not to get any of it inside the working parts of the gun if you don't plan on taking it apart first. Wait approx. 30 mins for it to dry. The putty doesn't have to be perfect, just make sure the markings are completely covered. Excess can be easily dealt with. Very helpful, would wood putty work as a substitute?
is your gun wood?
looks like a polymer grip
looks like a polymer grip
No numbnuts, he meant "is your gun wood" in a sarcastic response to Rageblood asking if wood-filler could be used as substitute for epoxy to fill the trades on the metal receiver.
Very helpful, would wood putty work as a substitute?
no sir.
Any putty that solidifies should work, even epoxy putty if you're careful.
Any putty that solidifies should work, even epoxy putty if you're careful.
that being said, wood putty does work. I JUST tried it on my springer, but It feels rather soft to my sandpaper; can't say I'm a fan of using it.

oh wow, good guide, I was wondering about the trades on mine.
I assume this would look retarded if I did it to the entire left magwell of my m4 unless I repaint the whole receiver or magically find a paint that matches receiver finish exactly.
I assume this would look retarded if I did it to the entire left magwell of my m4 unless I repaint the whole receiver or magically find a paint that matches receiver finish exactly.
or you could mix paints to match the receiver finish. NOPE THERE'S NO WAY TO DO THAT YEAH YOU'RE OUT OF LUCK GO BUY A NEW GUN WITH GOOD TRADES OR SOMETHING
Any idea on how to remove the ugly-ass white trades on the KWA USP? Namely the don't be an idiot warning on the right side of the slide?
