Hi facepunch. I installed Ubuntu on an external hard drive because I had problem with my internal Hard Drive.
I got a new internal hard drive now and I'd like to remove ubuntu from the external hard drive but the problem is I can't just format it becuse they are other important files on this external hard drive. How do I uninstall Ubuntu from the external drive without formatting it?
Backup those important files, then format it and put the important files back.
Or delete everything that is Ubuntu manually, without accidentally deleting your important files.
Was it an install via Wubi?
Florian basically explained the best way.

Then why not just rate Florian agree?
Are these files on a different partition than ubuntu?
