Why have news websites been so late on shit recently?
I don't care if they're a bit late. Rockstar needs all the bad press they can get for this.

Glad I still have my nice DVD tour book edition. I feel like this whole thing is an iPad update that somehow made its way to PC. The resolution thing is just wierd.

The incompatible saves parts just seems like laziness.
If R* said anyone with a copy of GTA:SA on Steam gets 10%-15% off GTA5 I think that would be a nice bone to throw people. edit: Assuming that they have no interest in fixing a 10 year old game.

The simple reason for why saves are incompatible is that they edited the main.scm file. That's impossible to fix and I'm guessing adding support for modern gamepads needed the change.
If they can't sell SA in its old form any more because of licencing deals that sucks but it makes sense. To go and make sweeping changes to the version people have specifically purchased is just awful. If they had removed the old one then put this up as a separate "HD" replacement or whatever to get around the licensing it would a least be a middle ground that doesn't remove content from people who already had that particular version.
Actually it didn't cause any good.
native xinput support is pretty cool, and i find the mobile pause menu much more appealing to look at
Who the fuck would play this game with a controller and where did you see the mobile pause menu in the PC version? It certainly wasn't patched in.
idk i saw it in the totalbiscuit video, and people play the game with a controller because driving is more fun with a controller?
I prefer a non-shit resolution and NWA's Express Yourself over the ability to use a controller.
