(CBS) Introducing the Candwich, the sandwich in a can. Catchy? Yes. Grounds for a lawsuit? Apparently so. The Federal Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a lawsuit against Travis L. Wright, 47, saying he convinced investors to supply him with $145 million for real estate investments. What they didn't know was Wright allegedly had other plans. Candwich-related plans. The lawsuit says that Wright guaranteed returns up to 24 percent on real estate investments, but then used the start-up capital to invest in Candwich and other entrepreneurial ventures, said The New York Times. According to The Times, Wright's other business endeavors included French Toast in a can and Pepperoni Pizza Pocket. According to the suit, investors became skeptical once Wright neglected to return phone calls and lines for his company Waterford Funding were either not in service or disconnected. President of Mark One Foods, Mark Kirkland, said he patented the idea of stuffing hand-food in a to-go beverage container and is hoping to move forward with production later this year, according to The Times.
I'm guessing his investors want to open up a can of whoop-ass on him.
You can get canned pies over here in the UK. "Fray Bentos" is the brand if I remember right.
Oh jesus that sounds horrid.
If you cook it longer than the instructions tell you to, it crisps up into a great pie. Good if you're in a pinch, as they're fairly cheap. Many a student has been saved by the ever-wonderful pie-in-a-can. I wouldn't eat it by choice though. I prefer my pies fresh from the baker.
I wouldn't mind giving that a try. The "Fray Bentos" I mean. These look like they might work in a pinch for something like earthquake supplies or something, but I don't think I'd ever pick this up willingly.
Fray Bentos are a gift from god. Those combined with powdered mashed potato and instant gravy saved me from starving to death at university. That and anything made by dear old Aunt Bessie.
I don't even know how that works.

Fray bentos are lovely.
Ever seen those canned whole chickens? Some things should never be canned.
Ever seen those canned whole chickens? Some things should never be canned.
Good God, it looks like Neo when he woke up from his incubation pod in The Matrix.
Ever seen those canned whole chickens? Some things should never be canned.
That looks fucking disgusting.

fuck that chicken. Also canned sandwish, no.
Third world countries dont care if its in a can, they need food more. I however get delicious cheap food from Taco Bell, Burger king, and McDonalds when Im on the go.
Good God, it looks like Neo when he woke up from his incubation pod in The Matrix.
It looks like it's wrapped in a placenta covered in petroleum jelly.
I wonder how many calories those small sandwiches are bloated with. The idea is good but, is it really all that practical?
Sandwiches in a can? I can just taste the salmonella and lead.
Sandwiches in a can sounds like a good idea, especially due to the fact it is most likely non perishable.
Yes we candwich!
Ever seen those canned whole chickens? Some things should never be canned.
That's "fully cooked"? :gonk:
Candvich!
Oh god that would be great to have in TF2.
What the fuck? The sound of a sandwich in a can doesn't sound too appetising.
I'd try the PB&J but I don't know about the meat ones. Meat in a can is usually bad news unless it's chili. [editline]02:06PM[/editline] HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT CANDY SURPRISE INSIDE, I WANT ONE
I would try that sandwich just say I did. It probably isn't half bad, as long as it isn't wet or covered in that chicken placenta gel crap.
