Vista boots up as it normally would, but after the "Welcome" screen, everything goes purple/magenta and stays that way for a minute or so before displaying the desktop. I googled this and apparently other people have encountered this problem as well, but there's nothing in the way of a solution or answer as to why it happens. Can facepunch help?
Sounds like a software issue if it only happens when fully booted, have you tried updating your drivers?
I had this problem too, I installed Windows 7 and it worked fine.
I updated Windows, but the problem persists. The machine doesn't turn off either, just gets stuck at "shutting down" and I have to turn it off manually.

Virtual devices seem to be broken as well.

At this stage i'd recommend re-installing Windows.
