(CNN) — A 15-year-old girl in Little Rock, Arkansas, is dead, police say, because of a prank that went horribly and tragically wrong.
Adrian Broadway was shot in the head and died early Saturday morning.
She was with a group of teenagers who had gone to a house to do a “retaliation” prank on another teen who’d done a prank on them on Halloween, according to the Little Rock Police Department.
The teenagers told police they had thrown toilet paper, eggs and mayonnaise on a car parked there.
As they were leaving, a man came out of the house and opened fire.
Broadway was struck in the head and died.
Another teenager, the driver, suffered injuries to his right arm. He was transported to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
Police have identified the shooting suspect as 48-year-old Willie Noble. He was charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of a terroristic act and five counts of aggravated assault, they said.
Bond was set at $1 million.
“I got the news from my mom who said that Adrian had got a gun wound to the head, and I just dropped the phone immediately and started crying,” Broadway’s friend, Laguyia Bland, told CNN affiliate KARK.
“They was trying to be teenagers,” Bland said. “As you know teenagers make mistakes, and this was one of those mistakes.”
I never saw toilet paper and egging as a "prank". More like vandalism.
Wow. Kids are throwing toilet paper at my trees. Better headshot 'em.
this is not what one would call an appropriate response
Teenager shot in the head? Sounds like Counter-Strike.

Toilet paper not so much, but egging is definitely vandalism.

and i never saw someone opening fire on a group of kids when your not in any danger as ok. more like murder
Wow. Kids are throwing toilet paper at my trees. Better headshot 'em.
Not to defend the person that shot at these people, but quite honestly, if your house is being egged, toilet papered constantly.. It can do a fair amount of damage. Vehicle damage, house damage. A lot of shit. So if this was a constant thing(not mentioned in the article), I could see the cause of frustration.

So yeah, as previous research has been brought up, eggs can do a fuck load of damage to a car. Not sure about mayonnaise, but eggs will eat the shit out of the paint.
Does that deserve the right to come out guns blazing? Sure as shit, no. Does it mean getting a license plate, and suing the kids parents?
Fuck yeah.
"one count of a terroristic act"
What exactly qualifies as a "terroristic act
to be fair i dont think he should have been charged with first degree murder
at the least this is more manslaughter or 2nd degree murder

In small towns where everyone knows each other it's more of a friendly piss-take on your schoolmates.
“They was trying to be teenagers,” Bland said. “As you know teenagers make mistakes, and this was one of those mistakes.”
I hate shit like this, seriously. Justifying doing stupid shit and vandalism as "kids bein kids, teenagers bein teenagers" is the stupidest shit.

Get out of here, if you read the statement the kids were leaving, he came out and purposely shot them.
They were not presenting any danger to the guy, he came out and enacted deadly force without a defence intent, they had their backs to him and he shot them.
I'm sorry but that is 1st degree murder.

"Haha, you guys egged my car and damaged my paint, good one. Heh, you guys TP'd my house, thats gonna be a total pain in the ass to clean up but man was that a good prank!"

Generally, an act intended to incite terror in the victim.
This doesn't exactly qualify.

if you're shooting at someone there is no way it can be manslaughter

Vandalism is not justification for straight opening fire on a group of teenagers. We have police for a reason. Vigilante justice is barbaric and disgusting.

Uhm no. It's first degree murder. He went out there with the precise intention of shooting these kids. You don't just "accidentally" shoot someone in the head. That requires the action of aiming.
It was stupid of them to cause property damage like they did.
It was even dumber of the man to open fire on the children.
My question is: What will the surviving children be charged with?

You don't fire a gun at a person for any other reason than to kill them. You don't fire warning shots, you don't shoot to wound. No if ands or buts, its straight up murder.
Jesus not even a warning shot?
Edit: This isn't a response to the above post, just a coincidence.
Shot for vandalism? Talk about over reacting.

I'd hardly consider it manslaughter, he didn't accidentally kill her.
It definitely sounds like first degree murder but that's up to the jury to decide.
i wonder what was going through that guy's head, he must be nuts. gotta be

Shooting at a group of teenagers might count.

"A person engages in domestic terrorism if they do an act ""dangerous to human life"" that is a violation of the criminal laws of a state or the United States, if the act appears to be intended to: (i) intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping."
i think it's section i, as it was to scare them off
(not condoning actions at all, i just think the terrorism charge is a bit weird that's all)

You have any idea how hard it is to get streams of paper out of trees and shrubs? especially if the stuff gets wet, you aren't ever getting it out, it's going to be up there for months.
TPing/Egging/paintballing/whatever is never a prank. If you do dumb shit like this, be prepared for anything because stuff like what happened to this girl will eventually happen, and much more likely if you live in a seedy area.

If you want to scare a group of hooligans off with a gun (not that I recommend it), make sure the damn thing isn't loaded when you're waving it around. And if you must fire it, make sure it only has blanks and fire it at the ground or in the air where it isn't pointed at anyone christ.
Don't point a gun at anything you aren't willing to destroy.

hell fucking no shooting someone is not an acceptable response to being tp'd
they were already leaving, so it wasn't with intent to scare off

Police arent always enough.
Police cant always be where they are needed, when they are needed

I'm trying to think of something to say to this, but I can't.
It's just so ridiculous. Holy shit.
Jesus not even a warning shot?
Fuck no not even a warning shot. You fire it straight up in the air and it might come back down and kill a person who wasn't even remotely involved. You fire it at the ground and it could ricochet and, again, hit or kill someone not even involved.
