I was just wondering if there was a way to get a temporary credit card that functioned as a credit and not debit, because I'm trying to make purchases on my paypal MasterCard and I keep getting this
The credit card entered for payment is invalid. Please review the information you entered and try again.
You'd just have to apply for a credit card with a low limit, then cut it up once you've used it and ask the bank to close the account once you've repaid it.
Or use your parents' then pay them back

I'm not 18, so that won't happen. And my parents wouldn't let me borrow theirs

And the temporary card could work as a debit, all I want is for sites to THINK it's a credit, because for some reason my paypal mastercard is "invalid"

Transfer some money from your bank to your paypal and then just pay through paypal, not using your card? I don't think you can trick to think you're using a credit card, although my MasterCard debit card works everywhere, but my Maestro didn't
Buy one of them prepaid visa cards. Its a card you basicly charge with money at the store and then you can use it online and such.

I believe so. I don't see how they could be credit cards, considering you're not paying money back on it adding to your credit.

For some reason most sites are like "lol that's not a valid card you dumbass please put in a valid #" when I attempt to use debit.
I've used prepaid credit cards and theyre pretty much like gift cards that function as a credit card for things like paypal. You can buy one that's non-reloadable that usually has a balance of 25/50/100/200 dollars, depending on which one you buy.

but it still "counts" as a debit, right?

If I understand what you're asking correctly, one of the main purposes they make prepaid visa/mastercards is for electronic purchases, so it should work like a regular credit card. I might not understand what you mean though :/

most sites reject debit for reasons unknown
If it's electronic purchases you want, then get a bank/credit union account and then sync it up with paypal. Bank Debit cards are okay for Digital Trasnactions as I have used mine on several occasions.
whatever
I just got it on amazon because they accept any card whatsoever
