I have had this computer for well over 2 years, and it seems it's falling apart quite fast. My CPU is overheating, And i have a CCF from sunbeamtech. My CPU is an AMD 9850, And i reapplied the thermal paste twice to no avail, i keep getting random shutoffs from this. i know it's the CPU, My other components work fine in another similar computer.
You might need to buy a whole new heatsink. One thats "more powerful".

How hight are your temps, is it overclocked and how is the airflow in your case?
they hit around 60-70c. And the airflow is fine, I think it's the thermal paste though.
Yeah that is rather high for a CPU, it should be around room temperature if not a tad higher. Mines is around 40 Deg C. I might in fact re apply thermal paste, like you mentioned. I just cleaned it out. I would go with Mighty cow. Perhaps your heat sink on on the way to being replaced. That's my opinion. If not install another case fan.
