• looking into buying a GPU

soon I'm probably going to buy myself a new GPU and probably a new power supply. My currnet specs: HD4650 1gb "noname" powersupply 450W 4gigs DDR II AMD Athlon X2 7750 GA-MA74GM-S2H motherboard I'm probably going to buy a hd 5770, because of the price drop, so I'm wondering is the GPuU going to be bottlenecked by my CPU?? if it's going to be bottlenecked, which is the most powerfull GPU for my current cpu
I'd be more concerned about the "noname" PSU. Don't worry about bottlenecking.
I'd be more concerned about the "noname" PSU. Don't worry about bottlenecking.
well I'm also worried about the noname PSU, but if it proofs good I'm keeping it, or else a new one will come ;) and which graphics card is the maximum that my cpu can handle?
I would say a GTX 460.
and which graphics card is the maximum that my cpu can handle?
That doesn't make any sense. If you're wondering how well they'll work together, I would say fairly well. I wouldn't worry too much about your CPU hindering your framerates, as a 2.7 Dual core is half decent.

A 460 is a better bang for your buck than the 5770, though. -edit- HOLY BALLS the 5770 is cheap now.
You might need a better power supply for a 5770

HD 6xxx series is out?? i gotta check the news more and because the hd5770 is cheap I'm wanting it, so I think the 5770 is better bang for your buck than gtx460 [editline]22nd October 2010[/editline]
You might need a better power supply for a 5770
I know that -.-
I would go for the 5770.
Bang for your buck depends on a lot of factors. What games and what resolution for one. Sure the 460 is more powerful at not much more cost than a 5770, but if all you need is a 5770 level card why would you spend more money for a 460? Considering the original poster's CPU, I think a 5770 is a good match. If you're running a game that needs more than a 5770 then you're running a game that needs more than a 7750 too.
