• Is this a good entry-level rig?

I've been building little set ups on newegg for a while now, but this is the first one I really like and would consider buying. So Facepunch, can you tell me if this is good? Constructive criticism is allowed. Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811108229 HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148701 MoBo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138179 Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125360 PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182006 CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808 Not too sure about the RAM. I had two 2gb, but the price has been raised. Not sure if this mobo will support a 4gb. Please state your reasoning.
Not really.
Not really.
Could you explain why and possibly recommend changes?
What, are you trying to be a terrorist or something? PSU is shit, MoBo is shit. Well, case, is weird. Some say that the HDD is shitty.

Anyway, you could probably get a motherboard with two PCI-E slots if you look around hard enough on combo deals and such. I don't know why I thought the board was an ASRock. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] And you should get a Spinpoint F3, OP.
Why is it that everyone is incapable of giving some advice to someone on a budget who just wants an entry-level computer? -_-
Incapable of? Come on, we do this because we want to, not because we "need" to help you or anything. I'll make you a build some time today. 5000 posts, I'm now officially just wasting my life.
The PSU is rubbish, but a good budget build overall.

I've edited the PSU to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182006 the newegg calculator says i could get away with a 350 watt so I added the best rated one i could find.
I would say get a better brand of power supply simply because shitty brands can fuck your computer easily, corsair is known to be a good brand of power supplies to go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028.

If you could whhip out ~60$ more, you could get a GTX 460 which is much, much better than a 5670.

I really like the 5830, but it was just deactivated on Newegg so I really don't know where to go Edit: Nevermind, the 5850 is way out there. Still like the 5830 though

Uuuummm....Would someone mind telling me what is (or may be) wrong with the Mobo he picked? because I kind of ordered the same one for my new computer, and I'm wondering if I should cancel the order and get a different one.... Only a few of the reviews talked about failures, and most of them were fairly positive. EDIT: And most of the customer feedback on the ASrock one is pretty negative, so if he were to get one, he may want to look elsewhere.

Is the blackbone case better than the griffin? I really like the looks of the griffin and the fan is a monster.

Come back when you have, it makes no sense making a build now.
You don't have the money yet? Come back when you have, it makes no sense making a build now.
I disagree. Without knowing what my build is, I would have no idea what to save for and what the chance of a price drop is. I'll look into a case with cable management.
Why not a 580?
Why not a 580?
Expensive as shit [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] I don't see how it's a waste of time. For you maybe, but you clicked on my thread and started posting. It doesn't seem that time consuming.

I have no problem using time with helping you at all, but right now it's simply pointless. Trust me, I've been doing this for quite a while now.
Thanks for your help everyone!
Why not a 580?
Yeah and why not an i7-2600k? :downs:
Yeah and why not an i7-2600k? :downs:
Because its a socket AM3 motherboard...
