So today, I decided to move my new Boston Combo Amp to my room, right next to my wireless internet thingy. I turned both the computer and the amp on because I wanted to see some tabs for bass so I could practice. The computer turned on, I logged on and, because our internet is password-protected, I need to enter the password, then it comes on.
The thing is, my signal strength was about 20-30% and it would not connect no matter what I did, it would not connect. Puzzled, I decided I needed both hands to figure out what was wrong. I turned my bass amp and put my bass guitar away, which took 10 seconds. I tried again. It worked.
I'm puzzled. Did my bass amp somehow affect my signal strength?
PS; I don't think I've got the wrong section because I reckon you guys know the insides of an amp.
It shouldn't do that if it's switched off.
If it's on, then it might be.
But, of course, it might just be that it's because something is blocking the signal, in this case your bass amp.
If anything else of that size also lowers your signal, that's the cause.

It stays where it is, though. On or off.
move the damn bass amp and see if the signal changes
I'm pretty sure it does. I've noticed when I have my amp on, if I use my laptop's mouse pad, the speakers make an odd noise. I wouldn't worry too much, though.
It should only affect your speakers to my knowledge, but not your wireless internet.

I don't know a butt-load of information on this, but do you think it could be affecting the megahertz or something? Kind of like walkie-talkies can be affected.
