Whoever does this gets my endless love as a prize. (This thread is not about these bands or my taste in music, do not derail it with posts about it)
I typically don't release my AI files. So i'll just give you the EPSs. I started off with the heart, as it appeared to be the easiest. I'll work on some other ones now. It's good Illustrator practice. http://filesmelt.com/downloader/heartgrenade.eps
It's great, but I would much prefer the figures to be completely black on a white background
Perfumly and I sorted out the problem he stated outside of the forum. He said to just post the EPSs in here as I go along. ReelBigFish: http://filesmelt.com/downloader/fishpipe.eps DisturbedHand: http://filesmelt.com/downloader/disturbedhand.eps Kasabian: http://filesmelt.com/downloader/kasabian.eps Frick, I forgot one of the stripes on the head. D; Alright fixed it: http://filesmelt.com/downloader/kasabian1.eps SOAD: http://filesmelt.com/downloader/SOAD.eps Edit: Looking back on kasabian, I missed another white spot. Dang this all. Edit: Alright, fixed the kasabian. http://filesmelt.com/downloader/kasabian2.eps Flogging Molly:http://filesmelt.com/downloader/floggingmolly.eps
Almost done with all of them. All that's left is the red hot chili peppers. I'll edit that into here in a bit. Infected Mushroom: http://filesmelt.com/downloader/infectedmushroom.eps [editline]04:31PM[/editline] Finished with them all. RHCP: http://filesmelt.com/downloader/redhotchilipeppers.eps
the RHCP font is wrong, it is certainly not cooper black. :P
the RHCP font is wrong, it is certainly not cooper black. :P
The infected mushroom font is also different. I figured that if perfumly wanted a certain font, he could always add it himself in photoshop. He did it with the SOAD eps.
Think of islands, please don't tell me you didn't think of islands.
I did think of islands, but didn't care enough to actually bridge all of them. But nobody else wanted to vectorize this over the course of a couple of days, and I kept waiting for somebody else to help out with the vectorizing, but nobody ever posted. So I just turned them into vectors, and i'll leave the actual stencil work to perfumly. He is going to use these as designs in his room, so they will be blown up pretty huge. I'm almost certain he can use tape on the back of the stencils (or a similar substance) in order to place the islands. If not, he'll have to add in bridges in places. Furthermore, a couple of the images would look weird if they were combined, and would ruin the effect (like the heart grenade for example).
The islands? Am I missing something here? Also, thanks a lot HP :>
These are islands. Think about if you had to cut them out, how they would be placed on the wall so that it appears like it is. They are not connected to anything.

The only reason why I wanted to help out is because I thought it would be good pen tool practice. :downs: Of course, it takes everybody until it's all DONE to start criticizing it or posting in this thread, so that's not exactly awesome in my opinion.
well considering that i hadn't even seen the thread til you'd finished it, what more can i do? ;) also, it looks like you've just used the LiveTrace button, which is hardly 'good pen tool practice' :downs:

I did everything with the pen tool. Everything besides the text that is. I used a "Type on path" for those. But thanks for thinking my skills with the pen tool are good enough to match a built-in feature that I knew nothing about.
