You can view all your previously uploaded captures on a gallery page that's completely private and only available to your computer.
I plan to add the ability to create accounts so you can link computers' galleries together.
Gyazo didn't invent screen capturing, you know.
It's nice though, pretty quick too.
Just noticing you've made this, is there some way to tell the percentage of the upload progress? If not there's a suggestion.

Thought it was the best and quickest, until I saw ads everywhere... and no hotlinking, or anything.
Seems overall nice, but it'd be nicer if you added simple url formats for things such as BB-code ones for forums, or just a direct link to the image.

Yes, that was going to be added next. I think I'll place them in the header for the image view page.
Puush is a lot better than both. Keyboard shortcut, drag and select, etc.

And zScreen is better than puush :v:
yeah, zscreen is better than all your applications, why we don't have more threads about zscreen is a mystery to me
tpucapture + dropbox > all
Real men don't have a UI.
And zScreen is better than puush :v:
The ZScreen devs keep moving shit around each and every version, it's getting annoying.
jing may be a memory hog but better than everything posted here
testing zscreen

What font is that...
What font is that...
wait are you serious
We should have an obscure-but-awesome software thread again.

Not to mention that the app seems to randomly change my options and stop working.
If I remember correctly, I believe horsedrowner is working on his own version for Dropbox and FTP with similar hotkeys.

zscreen does dropbox and FTP
if your settings keep messing up it's user error or you're not running the latest stable :)

I've got FTP mostly working. I'll work on Dropbox support later. I'm only missing a program icon :v:
I've got binaries on http://www.horsedrowner.com/superscrot.php or http://code.google.com/p/superscrot/ if you want to see what it's like now.
So far I don't have a user interface at all, only a developer console. You can take a screenshot of the primary screen (multiple screens doesn't work yet), a window (Alt+PrintScr) or a region (Ctrl+PrintScr).
When the upload completes it makes a standard Windows sound and copies the URL to the clipboard.

I'm aware of that. I've been using it for the past half year.
And the latest stable doesn't have all the features that I use the program for. So I use the betas.
wait are you serious
Straight up doesn't look like my default one.
Gyazo is open source. If you have a server, just write up a quick php file to handle the upload, point the c++ code to go to your php file. Profit.

That's a bit too much hassle when other programs can handle it without having to muck with files.

zscreen is open source
and you don't need to recompile it to use different image hosts
also zscreen is extremely quick and it's basically a big tool in one
helps me upload everything

even fucking shortened that for me
The reason I started working on my own is because IMO, ZScreen contains too much bullshit I'll never ever use, and others like Gyazo require you to use their own host.
If I make it myself, I can make it exactly how I want it and how I use it.

Agreed. ZScreen contains too much bullshit!
BTW I've made a simple gyazo-like application that uploads to your host via FTP/SFTP. It can capture full screen, custom area and specific windows, and opens a link to the image in browser right after the upload (link also gets copied)
Here's a link: http://sharpmindprojects.com/project/upscreen/
I'm using Hyperdesktop with FTP syncing. It copies the URL into the clipboard which is kinda' useful.
*insert image that took me 3 seconds to capture here*
Hey, I like this.
Just got around to adding the direct link and ForumBB code to the headerbar of images.

[editline]17th November 2011[/editline]
It works :)
[editline]17th November 2011[/editline]
By the way, the app automatically puts the gallery link in your clipboard after upload.

I'm going to add impressions now.
[editline]17th November 2011[/editline]
Ok impressions added for each image.
