Pardon me for a moment. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwww!
Yes, those are the cutest damn creatures I've ever seen wandering the dangerous plains and demon-filled valleys of "World of WarCraft." As Blizzard announced at BlizzCon 2010, the company will be updating its in-game pet store with new additions, the first of which will be the Moonkin Hatchlings (above) and Lil' Ragnaros (below). The former will come in two flavors for Horde (on the left) and Alliance (on the right) players.

The Moonkin Hatchlings will be sold in the same vein as the Pandaren Monk, with the proceeds going to a specific, currently unnamed charity. Lil' Ragnaros, on the other hand, will be sold to support the eternal burning of souls in the Netherealms. Totally up to you how you want to go.
Unfortunately there's no price point or release date set for the new pets, but I'd guess we're looking at similar prices to what previous in-game pets have been sold for, which would place the new pets at ten bucks a pop. A little steep if you're just looking to deck out your character with a new AI buddy, but totally reasonable for the purposes of charity. Plus, who could say no to those giant, adorable eyes?
It's interesting to see Blizzard focusing so much on non-combat pets, even as they're on the verge of releasing "Cataclysm," but I guess their research shows that people really like tiny, adorable creatures following them into the pits of hell. Must be a power trip thing.
:)
D'aw. They're so cute.
$45
Do they do they pelvic thrust when they dance?
Where the hell is that webcomic about the man eating shit because it's exclusive when you need it.
Lil' Ragnarok.
Beautiful.
yo dawg we herd u like spending money so we gave you something else to waste your money on.
They're totally not making enough money. Not at $15 a month 13,000,000+ times. Golly that's only 195 million dollars a month!
How can they live that poor?

D'awww it's an internet pet in an internet videogame and for $45!
Why the hell do people get internet pets? buy a goddamn REAL pet instead- seeing someone boasting about their E-Pet is just sad.

While do hate expensive microtransactions, especially if you're paying for an ugly npc, buying a real pet would be expensive and hard to take care of.
Stole this from Guild Wars.
