It's a laptop. Uses: Internet browsing Music playing on trips Torrent downloading Occasionally Gmod server, but I could easily set up my main computer for that. From what I've heard, Linux is faster and more minimalistic. Should I switch over for my laptop?
Linux can do those things.
Linux can do those things.
I know this, I'm just wondering if it's faster. [editline]03:33AM[/editline] Those were kind of the reasons I was considering it.
It can be faster, but that depends very much on the distro and the way things are set up. If you get a nice, lightweight distro you might notice a difference.
If I were you I'd install linux on it just to try it out, it is free after all.
I would have blown any partitions away and installed Linux on it first thing upon receiving it.
