A burglar who murdered a 10-month-old boy by hitting him more than 30 times in the face and head has been jailed for life in Australia.
Harley Hicks will serve a minimum of 32 years behind bars after the judge said his crime was "utterly evil".
The 21-year-old, who denied the killing, had shown no remorse for the ferocious attack on Zayden Veal-Whitting as he lay in his cot, said Supreme Court Justice Stephen Kaye.
Hicks bludgeoned the baby to death with a homemade baton made of copper wire wrapped in tape in a burglary spree in Bendigo, Victoria state in June 2012.
Zayden's mother found her severely beaten son as she went into his room to wake him and pulled back a blanket covering his face.
He was then taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Bendigo court heard Hicks told police he was high on drugs at the time, but gave no reason why he attacked the baby.
However, his defence team had suggested it was because he disturbed the infant.
Well, they did exactly that.

I'd like to know what a kind murder is :v:

euthanasia?
adelphi funny sorry fine funny
Put him away for 10 years, then hang him. Life sentences for murder with intent with no chance of parole is just a drain on society as a whole.

Maybe economically, but we should prove ourselves better by not killing them in turn. Besides, I'd rather see someone suffer in jail for 70 years than let him go easy and just get killed.
sorry i meant to say that i find this joke in distaste.

and after 15 years you find out he got framed
oops killed an innocent, dang
and after 15 years you find out he got framed

Happens all the time regardless he killed an innocent baby...He deserves to be put down with the dogs for acting like one
Put him away for 10 years, then hang him. Life sentences for murder with intent with no chance of parole is just a drain on society as a whole.
The second sentence says that he will serve a minimum of 32 years, which sounds a lot like there is a chance for parole. Not sure which crevice you pulled no parole from.
Happens all the time
I'm sure you'd be saying the same thing if it were you.
but I thought burglars were just poor marginalized members of society trying to get by, who just want your stuff, not to hurt people :(

are you sure you know what "framed" means?
it means it's possible he hasn't killed anybody
euthanasia?
I'm pretty sure being bashed in the face is not euphoric.
Put him away for 10 years, then hang him. Life sentences for murder with intent with no chance of parole is just a drain on society as a whole.
I don't agree with this but I think people who got a life sentence should be allowed to die if they want to.

i don't think i'd trust an anime-obsessive populist hitler youth with the ability to judge when killing people is appropriate idk about you guys
If only it were a relatively unkind murder, or at least a mean-spirited murder, but an evil murder? Awful, just awful.
However, his defence team had suggested it was because he disturbed the infant.
So he beat the shit out of an infant because he disturbed it?
I guess that's what burglary while high off your ass does to you.
Holy shit, some people do some sickening shit while high. It's like all the moral brakes are off
Put him away for 10 years, then hang him. Life sentences for murder with intent with no chance of parole is just a drain on society as a whole.
What's the point of putting him away for a decade if you're just going to execute him?
I used to live in Bendigo, an amazing place that I really love.
Shame this arsehole had to put Bendigo on the map for the wrong reason.
Hope he rots.

I'd imagine it's that you'd lock him up with the knowledge that the only end is that he dies. No chance of living, no chance of getting out, and no point sitting there for 70 years getting your meals and hygiene paid for by taxpayers.

Euthanasia = Euphoria ???

Going to wake your son in the morning, same as always, pulling away his blanket to find a bloody mess of brain and skull where his face was
No words

Are you seriously going to say he was "framed"? Like seriously just say you think he was framed. Please so i know you're really that dumb
Holy shit, some people do some sickening shit while high. It's like all the moral brakes are off
Using the word 'high' doesn't really tell the story. You can smoke some pot and get high. You could also do meth for two days straight and be high. One is not like the other.
Anyone who has done speed can tell you that psychosis is not far off when you do that drug for a day or so. It's entirely believable, to me, that this guy might have been so far into his 'high' that he had no idea what was going on. If that's the case then he's not evil, imo, to be EVIL you must be able to choose to do evil.
What a cunt
