In the photo, Maria Kang reveals her toned figure in a workout bra and shorts while posing with her three young sons. Above her head, a question asks, "What's your excuse?" With more than 2,000 likes on the original picture and more than 160,000 likes on the reposted picture, Kang certainly has a group of supporters, but her comment sections are sprinkled with negative responses from Facebook critics. sensitive fat people strike again [editline]16th October 2013[/editline] "thin privilege" lmao
I would say they are taking a stand...
If they all take to the streets in protest, wouldn't they all lose weight? Or would they simply remain in their comfy adobes typing away furiously.
I would say they are taking a stand...
Not for too long, their ankles might break.
I'm 6'6" and 130 pounds, does that mean I'm literally Hitler? Also Jesus that tumblr
When I auditioned for HAIRSPRAY, a role literally written for a fat woman, I was not chosen for the part, but someone who was the “right kind of fat” was. She reminded me of the “Right plus size” models we all know. The kind that have a flat tummy, no rolls, a skinny face, etc. I am not doubting this girl’s acting ability, and there is always a chance she was chosen for the sole reason that she is a better actor, but my instincts tell me it’s most likely she was chosen out of a sea of fat auditioners because she wasn’t “SO FAT” that it would make the audience uncomfortable.
"So it might have been because she was a better actor than I am, but I totally bet it's because she wasn't too fat"
It does sound a bit smug but fat shaming? Jesus... Many thanks to Daily Mail readers though, for showing us all real fat shaming:
I would say they are taking a stand...
against what, exercise? :v:
"Being fat is the same as being BLACK or a WOMAN" -no one sane
If they all take to the streets in protest, wouldn't they all lose weight? Or would they simply remain in their comfy adobes typing away furiously.
That's just facebook "protesting" in general.
"Thin privileged"? What the hell? I realize for some people its harder for them to stay thin than it is for others (And some with medical conditions its even harder) but just go outside and run.
sensitive fat people strike again [editline]16th October 2013[/editline] "thin privilege" lmao
i kinda get thin privilege, like, how if you're a thin person you aren't treated like shit because of your weight most of the time and it's easier to buy clothes and shit like that.
I'm 6'6" and 130 pounds
jesus christ do you have any body fat
- Thin privilege is not jumping or flinching at the sound it makes when you open food packaging. I noticed this with myself yesterday and since it was the first time I’d really thought about this particular aspect, it came as quite of a shock. So, you know these little four-pack pudding cups that are sealed together and you break them apart and it makes that… sound. I broke some apart yesterday in my flat in which I live alone ad I flinched. Now I haven’t been moved out of my parents’ place for long and it just reminded me of ALL the times I did my damnedest to open food or break apart such packaging or open crinkling plastic packaging as quietly as possibly so no one would hear and come in and comment on what I was eating or, even, on me eating at all. If I was opening packaging in my room, at the time, I would always do so under the bed covers so that the sound was muffled. Thin privilege is not living like that and still feeling the effects of it when it’s only you in the privacy of your own home. - Thin privilege is not feeling the need to have a strategy at the supermarket checkout in placing the items of food your buying in a certain order, interspersing the items that would be deemed “unhealthy” and therefore not acceptable with items that would be deemed “healthy” and therefore acceptable. - This post just showed up on my dash: Above was a picture of a fat pigeon and below was this text: so there’s a pigeon i used to pass by in my old neighborhood all the time and he was really fat because people would just toss him food and literally he sat in the middle of the sidewalk and people would just step over him, he wouldn’t even flinch. seriously you could sit down next to him and just feed him and he would be chill. he was there every day and all us locals would affectionately refer to him as ‘lard-ass’
lmfao
i kinda get thin privilege, like, how if you're a thin person you aren't treated like shit because of your weight most of the time and it's easier to buy clothes and shit like that.
easy solution: stop being fat
easy solution: stop being fat
Its a lifestyle choice! Don't judge me Its mah genes that make me too fat for Jeans.
accepting being fat is like accepting having cancer
It does sound a bit smug but fat shaming? Jesus... Many thanks to Daily Mail readers though, for showing us all real fat shaming:
That's just one guy!
That's just one guy!
Yeah, Daily Mail readers. [editline]16th October 2013[/editline] Well the ones that take it seriously.
the woman in question
That's just one guy!
10$ says that one dude is 500 pounds or a new jersey looking douchebag legit I really feel I'm right on this one.
i kinda get thin privilege, like, how if you're a thin person you aren't treated like shit because of your weight most of the time and it's easier to buy clothes and shit like that.
It's not really a privilege though, more just a fact of life. Unless someone has a legitimate medical condition, then being thin or otherwise reasonably in shape is not a privilege. Hell, I'm overweight and I know the reason for it is due to my diet; purely my own fault. On another note, good lord she looks fantastic. She'd look great for a 20 year old, let alone a mother of three. Good for her.
yeah it sucks that I'm fat but unlike if I was a negatively stereotyped race or homosexual at least I can change who I am should I decide to stop being a fat-ass. I'm this way because I chose to be and if I wanted to I can get out of it
easy solution: stop being fat
"but muh glandular problems!!!"

Only women get fat right? Therefore only women can be shamed for being fat. Makes sense.
That's just one guy!
Holy shit, my bad, I didn't even realise.
It does sound a bit smug but fat shaming? Jesus... Many thanks to Daily Mail readers though, for showing us all real fat shaming:
Its all the same guy
i kinda get thin privilege, like, how if you're a thin person you aren't treated like shit because of your weight most of the time and it's easier to buy clothes and shit like that.
For most people being fat is something that can be avoided with some effort, being fat shows how you take care of yourself. And if you're not willing to take care of yourself then why should you be trusted to take care of a job. I'm not saying all fat people are like this and I'm especially not saying that fat people should be treated rudely in anyway. The mere fact that they're a human being should be enough to give them some respect, but people need to stop acting as if being fat is something completely acceptable.
Oh sweet another privilege I can add to my list!
