i just want to make sure this will be okay with my specs:
Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 (will OC eventually)
4GB RAM
ATI 1GB 5870
Corsair 650w TX
vista 32
I need a mobo w/ 2 PCI E slots because I plan on crossfiring eventually
Current motherboard?
You should also consider 64 bit too.
ASUS P5N-E SLI
i know that my 32 os can only recognize like 3.2 gb of ram please stop telling me that

Getting the 64bit edition of whatever OS it is that you use.

Yes, you have DDR2, he is suggesting you upgrade to the motherboard that he selected and go with DDR3, which makes upgrading to a completely new system easier if you've already got DDR3.
is this ram:

compatible with this mobo:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128433&Tpk=GIGABYTE%20GA-EP45T-USB3P
if not, is there any 4gb DDR3 RAM compatible with that board under like $60?
yeah it'll work
final check- does that ram/mobo combo look good? i just don't want to waste money :saddowns:
[editline]26th November 2010[/editline]
hnnng are we sure that RAM is compatible with the mobo? the mobo lists the memory starded as 2200, but the ram is 1600.
sorry for having a heart attack but for some reason im freaking out about this purchase
help bump

i was recommended getting this instead of the cheaper one
the $50 set is faster so I have no idea why
Don't cheap out on your motherboard, seriously.
[editline]26th November 2010[/editline]
And yeah, that motherboard will support your ram.
[editline]26th November 2010[/editline]
It's standard isn't 2200, that's if you have 2200 Mhz ram then you can overclock your motherboard so it will work, otherwise it would just go to standard, which is 800.

Actually, 2gb of ram.
[editline]26th November 2010[/editline]
ITT: Ugly ass motherboards. :saddowns:
so go with the cheaper RAM?
Actually, 2gb of ram.
4GB - VRAM - other small amounts
4GB - VRAM - other small amounts
Yeah, I'm just saying is RAM sticks alone with 32bit will only support 2gb, but other things like that can be added on.
so go with the cheaper RAM?
