DPA First Vice President Fred Frazier said Sunday morning that the smoker, which has been used at fundraisers and fallen-officer events, was recovered at 4:30 this morning at a house in the 2700 block of Carpenter Avenue — “a dope house,” said Frazier. Patrol officers spotted the truck seen hauling off the smoker in surveillance-cam video. Said Frazier, the suspects told officers “a dope dealer put them up to it because they were selling it to a guy who has a barbecue joint” on nearby Hatcher Street. “They got $75 in dope in exchange for stealing the smoker,” Frazier said.
http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/2013/06/two-suspects-in-custody-after-dallas-police-associations-stolen-10000-smoker-is-recovered.html/
They got $75 in dope in exchange for stealing the smoker,”
You're dedicated to a habit when not only will you try and haul away something that big but you steal it from the police themselves.
Crisis averted!
$10k for a barbeque, what a great use of taxpayer money!
You're dedicated to a habit when not only will you try and haul away something that big but you steal it from the police themselves.
And then trade it for less than 1/10 what it's worth.
And then trade it for less than 1/10 what it's worth.
Less than 1/100, mind you.
Less than 1/100, mind you.
I missed a 0 and was thinking 1000, my bad.
Also, I dont think it was paid for with tax money. Things like this are normally paid for via private donations/ drug money
Selling a $10 000 smoker to a pot dealer. I am overwhelmed at the amount of jokes that can be made.
$10k for a barbeque, what a great use of taxpayer money!
Probably was donated
I've lived in Texas for almost 10 years now, and i can tell you: You don't fuck with a Texan's bbq grill. It's funny how serious it is here, but I love bbq food so i'm going along with it.
i'm in the process of designing and building a smoker very similar to that one there BBQ smoking is the best
Holy fuck, imagine the amount of fundraisers and sponsors they had to pull just to get that.
Dallas Police Association’s
Besides, who doesn't love the smell of smoked meat? Or the taste?
