I was surprised they sent me a steam key to get it early
I was surprised they sent me a steam key to get it early
Everyone who had an account already got one. I was part of the first wave they sent out.
Just checked and got mine.
I should play this more. From what little I did play of it I did enjoy.
thanks for the ez cannon fodder
I don't know why I don't play this more. It's a fun game and I'm actually good at it. Both of those are rare nowadays!
But for some reason I just don't play it much. I'll play it for a few days straight and then won't touch it for a long time.

But for some reason I just don't play it much. I'll play it for a few days straight and then won't touch it for a long time.
The balance before was pretty terrible. It was often entire teams of high level players against entire teams of low level players, who would all just get wiped in an instant. They rebalanced items, got rid of tuning points, changed mech costs, and a few others balancing changes, to help. These, plus the new influx of players, has really helped with keeping these from occurring so often. I mean just like yesterday for the first time ever I got put in a match that was entirely players of roughly equal level, with no players much higher or lower.
I thought this is Free 2 play Why do people have to buy the bundle to play? Am i missing something?

Yes.
It's early access right now to alleviate server strain. If you wait for release it's free.
I wonder why they're putting it up on Early Access besides using it as a criticism shield/way to get money from people buying into a free to play game, seeing as nothing on their website's main page indicates it not being a fully released title, and they're already selling in-game currency for money and everything.
They're not too sure about if they can handle the server load from a release. They're using early access as a way to limit players while gradually having them come in while making money.
I messed with this game a couple months ago and my main problem with it was that it felt less like a proper mech game and more like a "five meter tall space marines with jetpacks" game. The movement and gunplay don't feel good at all, they don't have much weight to them, and half the interface is diegetic while still keeping the other half on the traditional overlay for some goddamn reason.
This gave me a pretty good reason to play again, and I'm enjoying what they have so far myself. I guess I do kind of wish it had more of a clunky and gritty mech feel for it, but I still think it's good for what it is. That, and I just absolutely love the Vulcan minigun for some reason.
