We haven't had a chance to head on down to The Hague to have a look-see for ourselves, but Dutch tech site Webwereld spotted some more inconsistencies in Apple's Samsung lawsuit filings. This time the culprit is a shrunken Galaxy S, standing side-by-side with an identically tall iPhone 3G -- when in reality the Samsung phone is seven millimeters taller than its Apple counterpart, and slightly wider as well. The image, filed in the Netherlands, is part of an intellectual property suit against Samsung, and came to light just days after accusations that Apple manipulated photos of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 that it submitted to a German court. While misleading, this latest error isn't nearly as concerning as last week's shrunken Tab -- which could easily be described as image manipulation, considering that the tablet included in that filing represented an incorrect 4:3 aspect ratio, while the Samsung device has a 16:10 display. Update: The phone pictured above is the Samsung Galaxy S, not the Galaxy S II.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/19/did-apple-shrink-the-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-in-dutch-lawsuit-filing/
what the hell is apple doing
can't be a fucking error purposefully manipulating evidence, what cunts
I'd laugh if the courts threw out their case for misrepresenting Samsung's products.
I hate how they pull up the app drawer to say "look at how similar this is!"
Manipulating evidence is a crime
Manipulating evidence is a crime
Apple's just gonna throw money at their lawyers until they can justify it.
Unfortunately money speaks.
Unfortunately money speaks.
I know it's not really relevant to the thread but wouldn't it be cool if it was and I said "and right now the world is losing its voice"
Apple, WTF are you doing?
Once more opening the app drawer to make it look worse its a fucking menu not the home menu
Lol Apple being dicks, what's new. Hope they get called out on their bullshit here.
I hate how they pull up the app drawer to say "look at how similar this is!"
I hate it when they show how similar it is in a court case about how similar it is.
Here's how the trial should be settled. A team goes to the streets and asks random people which phone is which, by showing each phone to actual people after covering up the logos. If data shows that the people are being confused enough, the lawsuit may continue. If everyone is sure which one is which, then Apple gets fined for wasting the court's time.

It hasn't been manipulated the galaxy s is just further away.
Christ that 'app draw' looks pretty similar though... If I designed an interface that nice, I'd hate for someone to come along and basically steal it, I mean even the spacing is the same...
Christ that 'app draw' looks pretty similar though... If I designed an interface that nice, I'd hate for someone to come along and basically steal it, I mean even the spacing is the same...
The app drawer looks pretty much the same across all Android devices as there is literally no other sensible way to display a list of applications installed in a space saving and user-friendly manner, a grid of applications is literally the best way to do it and has been used since the 90's by the early palm/ tablet PCs of olde. There is literally nothing worth defending Apple over in these court cases. Everything they patented is either really fucking vague, or the only way to do something decently. Essentially, full on patent trolling.
More Apple shenanigans.
Ha, I wonder how all of Apple's hipster fanboys feel about their favorite company trying to litigate everyone else out of the market instead of competing fairly.
Why can't we all just get along. :smith:

In the end Apple, you're probably going to end up losing more than what you had to start with before attacking other products. Goofballs.
I wonder why they keep suing in different country's.
Trying their luck in manipulating the law to their advantage.
Ha, I wonder how all of Apple's hipster fanboys feel about their favorite company trying to litigate everyone else out of the market instead of competing fairly.
They will say that the other companies deserve to get sued, that the other companies are ripping off Apple.
If their law suit reaches Finland, I'll be fine! I already have my Galaxy S II. And it's SEXY! [editline]20th August 2011[/editline] And kicks my littlesisters iPhone 4G's ass. It's important too.
Ha, I wonder how all of Apple's hipster fanboys feel about their favorite company trying to litigate everyone else out of the market instead of competing fairly.
The same as a lot of people here if Valve started suing random people.
