I bet he ran out of FNaF money. It probably won't sell good, most of the people are tired of FNaF games from what I've seen.

kids aren't people
A pizza equivalent of a rollercoaster tycoon where every breakdown is a station brakes failure could be interesting.
Unfortunately, I predicted Scotty would make a dumbass move like this.

you do realize he donates it to charity right
Great observation though lol
I dunno, it could be neat if he plays with the different ways to pull this off.
Cawthon is definitely milking FNAF for all it's worth, but I don't think any of the games are awful or anything. Maybe just a little samey. His target demographic at this point does seem to be the kids who generally enjoy the FNAF characters and the "genre" he's created.
So hey, if he thinks people will enjoy it, why not.

On that note: Sally Corporation, a company who creates theme park rides, is in the process of creating a FNAF dark ride. Or they announced that they would be last year and even had Foxy at IAAPA 2016, if I remember right.

I think last I heard, they were just waiting for a buyer.

A FNAF dark ride/haunted house would work really well even if it's just a Halloween time thing, they made a rollercoaster out of saw so a simple dark ride is a sound investment as you don't even need to know the IP to get a good spook out of it.
I know for sure they had a FNAF haunted house at Circus Circus in Vegas last year.

I can't find any footage of it in full swing so idk how great it was, but I think the future of the franchise is definitely in spooky interactive stuff like this.

I don't think in a million years Scott ever imagined that his hit game would eventually end up as a theme park ride.
That's insane, in a good way.

get off your bandwagon dude. scott's a great and humble guy. not a lot of devs would literally refund everyone and then make his game free out of his own disappointment for how the game turned out

Didn't knew about this, I always thought that FNaF games ( Except the first one ) were just money-grabs.
Nah, Cawthon's done some considerable donations to St. Jude's, and has donated to multiple charity streams by Let's Players.
Good for him then, never heard about those charities. Last time I heard about FNaF was that FNaF World game.
I'm still expecting FNaF's refusal to die to bleed into other Steam games. (i.e: FNaF masks, a Kill Freddy mission DLC, etc.)
The creator is a genuine great guy. The problem with FNAF comes from its rabid fanbase.

I don't think it would happen, but if it did then it'd most likely be optional anyway. And for the people that do want it, then they'll be happy, and there's nothing wrong with that
No buy if you can't lock the doors and make the animatronics kill people. Causing horrible "accidents" is the best part in tycoon games, after all.
"I REFUSE to let an entire year go by without a game release, so I'm putting together something fun for all of you for the holidays," Cawthon said via a recent Steam update.
It's one of those things where you hate the fans, but kind of admire the content. It was really cool when it first came out. And the rest were inexpensive additions of the same kind of gameplay. People criticized the constant releases, but they were easy to make, sold cheap (I don't remember how much they cost on release, but $8 for the games isn't bad at all), and people enjoyed them.
I actually watched playthroughs of the game to see some of the secrets and such. It was nice. I'm actually kind of looking forward to this.

It's pretty admirable how much Cawthon just likes making games. Sure the fandom ruins everything, as they tend to do, but the man himself hasn't let it nor the anti-fandom dissuade him from doing what he likes.
if he doesnt make The Desolate Hope 2 or whatever name the next TD game gets ill be pissed
