Would you like it if the United States encompassed the entire planet?

Basically what the title says. Is an American Empire good for the world?
No. No world empire, as we currently stand, would be good. Too many disparate cultures not willing to get along.
No, world empires are in general a really bad idea
planet freedom is inevitable
this thread sucks

You mean it doesn't already
That would be a terrible idea.
Only if I can get my own little fiefdom.
There is only one true empire

Shit healthcare, broken political system with some of the most laughable people on the planet being the face of it, terrible education system, remarkable levels of corruption for a western country, and a justice system that incorporates the death penalty
I like the history of the United States, I think the people for the most part are absolutely fine, I respect their military, I don't even really disagree that much with the laws on gun ownership, and there are probably more than a few things I could also pick out that I like about the country. But I think the country has some serious flaws.
Sweden would be a better candidate.
I'd rather a star trek TNG style earth
it wouldn't last a week lmao
When you have the Flemish and the Limburgians hating the shit out of each other and everyone else in a single country already, how do you expect everyone to cooperate if globalisation happened?

When we left you, we were but the learner.
But now, we are the master.

USA is far from "land of the free"

Lalalala I can't hear you over my booming recordings of Rule Britannia from the last night of the proms

WHOEVER THOUGHT YOU THAT, IS YOUR ENEMY!
A global government is inevitable. One way or another, eventually, earths peoples will unite.
It just wont be with any existing government, or hell, any existing people.
implying it's fantastic the way it is now
With the same shitty internet, healthcare, education and legal bullshit?
Hell naw, I'd rather have Canada running things.
Only if Nixon's head would be our president.
But then who would we go to war with? :(

I reckon we'll have blown each other up long before any global government has a chance to form.
The only way we can have a unity like that, requires global co-operation. That American Empire won't have that many attributes of the United States as it stands now.
If it can be done, the world would be a better place for it. The compromise required would mean everyone has enough understanding.
It can't be bad. Unless it's some ridiculous dystopian empire, but with nuclear weapons I doubt it'll ever happen like that without most of the world not existing anymore anyway.

In the early 1860s we had a solution to that problem
I would like to see a version of the USA as a world government, but not the current system.
USA has a really solid foundation and core values that I can stand behind. It's just that there are multiple things to work out, mainly healthcare and education.
Keep the guns for yourselves thank you :v:
Please don't, that could mean there will be cardboard buildings everywhere which collapse already when you sneeze too hard.
And of course the power hungry ISPs, more terrorism paranoia and anything else.
Nope. If it ends up like Helldivers "Super Earth" though, then sign me up! :v:
