Well, this should get interesting.
The Hadley Climate Research Unit in Britain was hacked yesterday, apparently by Russian black hats, and thousands of sensitive documents, including emails from climate scientists dating back a decade, were posted online. [/QUOTE]

Holy Carp. This could be one of the most ground breaking finds of the decade. Billions of dollars have been spent on the research of Global Warming. Look in any paper, magazine, major web site and you'll probably come across an add for something "Green"
This would be rather interesting if these emails turned out to be true.
Billions of dollars?
lol

Recycling in America alone costs billions of dollars each year, and that does more harm than good... What's the point of that? Money in someone's pocket, nothing more

The last estimate was at 18 billion.

Recycling > Mining

A copper smelter in my town is shutting down and hundreds of people are losing their jobs because of attitudes like that.

Not for some things. I mean, paper and plastic are bullshit, but there's money in tin and copper.

I'm personally completely trusting of anonymous Russian hackers. I think all our news should come from them.
"Russian Hackers" sounds a bit fishy. This could be pretty interesting, but I'm not willing to jump to conclusions until more credible verification happens. Am I the only one who remembers Obama's Kenyan birth certificate?

It's MAKAROV.
How exciting, emails from scientists going "oh it's getting pretty hot" "yeah i know man"

Recycling is about saving resources, not energy.

It's about both.
Neat. Or something.

Aluminium, cardboard, most plastic, metal and bottles can all be recycled very efficiently.

Plastic no. Aluminum and other metals yes.

"wanna head to the pub later?" "yeah sure let me finish this spreadsheet"
GROUNDBREAKING DISCOVERY!
What would be worse is if they found some bored scientist's cybersex convos in there.
